Dreamy Spring Break 4/20/14

Thank you!!! There are seriously 402 days (yes, I have a countdown on my phone) until the cruise, but I can't be more excited! Well, I guess I can be once it gets closer!

My kids will be 4 (David) and 2 (Ava) when we sail. The other kids in the group as of right now range from 1 to 10. I live in Lockport, Illinois (about 40 minutes outside of Chicago). This will be our second Disney cruise! We went back in September 2010 and were on the Wonder. We loved it minus the fact that the ocean was pretty rocky. Otherwise the trip was awesome!! I'm super jealous you are doing back to back cruises!! Same trip or another cruise line???

What part of Michigan do you live in?? My husband has family that live in Holland and Fennville.

Where did you go on the Wonder? We have done the Magic twice, the Eastern & Western Caribbean.
We are practically neighbors! :rotfl2: Chicago isn't that far.
We are on the east side of the state. Centrally located Lansing & Detroit (west & east) and Flint & Ann Arbor (North & South). Holland is such a cute town! Don't get to the west part of the state much. We try to go up north at least once a year.
I'm pretty excited for our cruise next year, wish we didn't have to wait so long though. :crazy2:

We did a 3 night Bahamas cruise on the wonder. We originally had the land and sea package booked but when we changed the reservation to the following year they weren't offering it!! So we rented a house for the weekend and went to magic kingdom for the Halloween party, then did the cruise.

Hahaha we are neighbors :). State neighbors at least. We've been only as far as Grand Rapids though. Been to holland a few times and then south haven which is super cute. His family lived there for the longest time.

I'm literally trying to recruit people!! Last time we went we had about 13 people and it was fun. I had shirts made for pirate night and other stuff for the kids. I hadn't heard of the fish extender thing until now though, so I'm excited about that. And I was reading about Easter and haven't seen much about the, doing anything special. So I'm thinking of trying to do an Easter egg hunt at some point. I thought I did read somewhere that they did it within one of the kids rooms, but not sure

We would love to have others come with us, but that never seems to work out. From what I read, any activities for Easter will be on the cruise before ours. So you have been to Nassau before? If so, what did you do & did you like it?

We booked on Sunday for the Easter 2014 sailing!! Can't wait. I've been on Pinterest all day pinning ideas and lists. Love the fish extender idea. We've cruised once before on the Disney wonder and loved it. Never did the fish extender thing but definitely will this time around. We have about 17 people going so far and hoping to get more

Squeee!!! More people!!! :yay:
Welcome! Glad to have you! I hope to get to know you and any others you may recruit to come along. Please sign up for the FE exchange when you get a chance. :goodvibes

I'm surprised we have gotten so many already!! And that stinks!!! We'll make the best of it. We have been to Nassau but honestly we got off and walked through the "flea market" type area and took some pics by señor frog. We didn't stay off the ship too long. If we don't extend our trip I think we might try the Atlantis, but it all depends on the price. Have you been there???

My DH got off at the Bahamas just to buy cigars and he said even that was too long.
Our last cruise, I thought about doing the Atlantis deal by getting a day pass from Comfort Suites, but for all the trouble and cost, I passed. My kids were happy enough on the ship in the pool and Aqua Duck. I considered it again. Ehhh.:confused3 I think I'll pass.

We want to go to the straw market & possibly a beach. No we've never been to Nassau. We've done the Eastern & Western Caribbean (Eastern was our favorite). We will be there twice since we are planning on a B2B. Not sure if we will get off the ship both times are not. My son (12 at time of the cruise) would love Atlantis, but not sure I want to pay those prices.

Where did your husband go to get Cigars & would he recommend them to others? My husband is a Cigar smoker. Thanks

He said he doesn't remember, but wouldn't recommend it of he did. :\

I'm thinking we'll either stay on the ship or just browse around like last time only because of the prices!! We are spending a small fortune on the trip anyway :)

We haven't decided yet what we will do on Nassau. We will at least walk around the Straw Market & maybe go to the beach.

Oh I know! This Spring Break Cruise is a lot more than the 7 day cruises we took in January.

I know disney is an expensive cruise line but am willing to spend that small fortune for my kids :). Super excited! Last time we went David was 1 and doesn't remember much. I just know he's going to have a blast!!

FYI...I signed up for the fish extender exchange! Let me know if I did it correctly. I'm going to try to get other people from my group to sign up.

Looks good, Katie. :thumbsup2 I'm sure by the end of the year we'll have a good sized group.

There is 6 of us altogether. Me Nicky Husband Gareth my Mum Pam and our 3 children Samuel (13) Lily-Anne (11) and Grace (9).

Nice sized group! I have a 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son. Of course they'll be a year older on the cruise.....;) Are they looking forward to going to The Edge? My DS is, my DD was kind of "Eh" about it when we cruised last year.
Where are you all from?
