Has anyone ever experianced their "dream come true"? I have a dream to become an actor in Family/children/teen (like 27 Dresses or Must Love Dogs) movies. I have grown up with Disney and I've always been told "dreams come true, all you gotta do is work hard for them and believe in yourself." I still to this day believe this...sorta. I just seems that as a person grows, reaching your dreams becomes....more complicated. I love acting and singing and dancing (I love almost all forms of performing). When I was young I was always told how I have a great singing voice. Now, I hear "Its okay, but you need some training."

I guess my question is...does anyone else have a dream and think that their dream is becoming a little harder to reach? Or have you already reached one of your dreams and are working twords another one?

Wow. Basically all of that is me right now.
I've always loved to entertain people, and when I was younger, talent scouts and people like that were always telling my parents to get me into "the industry."
But my parents wanted me to have a normal childhood, so I didn't.

And now when they're finally okay with me trying for this, acting, singing, songwriting, it's so much harder.
I need to start acting, guitar, voice lessons, and compete with thousands of other teenage girls who have been doing this since they could walk.

But I still believe I can do whatever I set my mind to.
People say that's naive, but I really believe it.

I have always wanted to be an author.
From the time I was in the 3rd grade.
I write EVERYDAY.
And I'm not trying to brag but I'm pretty good.
Then I take a step back and look around and realize how many other people want this as badly as I do.
It's so hard to get a career in acting or writing or singing or just the arts in general.
I mean...
I'll never give up.
But I know it's a really difficult dream to have come true.

My whole life is based on the whole "dreams come true" saying. I have known my whole life that if I set my mind to it and work hard enough I can go where ever I want. Since I was in 6th grade I have kown I wanted to be a lawyer and from then on I have been working my butt off to get where I am now. I am going to one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country and will be majoring in math and politcal science with a minor in pre-law. I set my goal and I'm going to meet it.

I'm glad your hard work paid off.

My dream of riding a racehorse came true sort of.
There are two racehorses currently on livery at my yard. The one Tara is really gentle and easy so i was told i could ride her. So on Thursday i took Tara down to the farm with 2 of my friends to ride her. We walked down the farm and she was really good. Now everyone else whose ridden her must be at least 42 pounds heavier than me, infact i am about jockey size. So we asked her to trot and she bucked, went to take her up the front she stopped and as i went to kick her she did a series of huge rears leaps and bucks. As soon as she landed she went galloping off and sent me to the floor. Now not to brag but i have fairly decent balance i don't come off easily. It's such a long way down! I smacked my face which is now bruised, my arm and my leg onto the floor and then bounced onto my other shoulder. Yeh it hurt. I got back up straight away because i didn't want the other horses to trample me and got back on her but i only walked around.

Mmm yeh i'm allowed to ride her again and hunt her but i think she has a serious dislike for me:goodvibes

I want to go to Disney World..

But my parents can never afford to go, and they don't seem to want to let me go with my cousin.. Its so CLOSE.. And yet i might not get the chance to hop on, seeing as she wants to pay for my hotel/tickets.

I had a dream to get into a high school that I really wanted to go to. It came true. Now I'm dreaming of the day I leave there for good.

I think that we spend enough time just dreaming. As Whitney Huston (and others) said as The Fairygodmother in Rogers and Hammenstiens Cinderella, "Dreamers never make a dream come true." We need to make our dreams come true. I will start by working on my singing voice and maybe (if the show actually happens) I will audition for Who Wants To Be The Next Disney Channel Star. That would be amazing if I actually became a Disney Channel star. I would get to make so many people happy doing what I love. What about you guys?

I've always kind of wanted to sing. But nobody else really knows that. I have a pretty good voice... but that's probably never going to happen.

I also really want the story I've been writing with my friend to be turned into a movie. It's really a pretty good story... it's just that we're the only ones that understand it.

The words "Dark Ecid" mean nothing to anyone else....yet... :)

i always wanted to become a artist for disney. i got a ton of disney drawing books and draw at disney put i always wanted to work on anime/ manga. i love it but i'm good at both. But the main ones r arties, piantist, photogorpher(don't know i i spelled it right), and dancer but i about to become a teen and then everything will change.:cheer2: :goodvibes

i had a Dream that me and My BF were in Disney at the same time and he wanted me to Marry him wile we were watching wishes!:lovestruc :goodvibes

I would also like to be in the industry that you are interested in, but I'm just wayy too shy. I'm working on it though.

See, that's something that worries me a lot. I want to write; a lot. But I just think about all those other people out there who want to do the same thing, and how many others can write so much better than I can. One of my friends write better than me, and he doesn't even want to write! I think I get discouraged too easily. But it just worries me, because I don't know what I'm going to do if that doesn't work out.

I guess I could always work at WDW!

Wanna know what I think is stopping you from being the best writer you can be? That one phrase. You cant keep thinking that, if you do you will never be the prodessional writer you want to be. Keep being positive.

i've always thought about going into the movie industry but as i've gotten older i've decided to go into television. as it looks right now after graduation next year i'll be going into a television production program. my dream would be to work on a show for disney!!!!!!!!!
