I was wondering if DU is a free Travel Agent as in they get paid by vendors or do they charge for their services. Thanks.

Dreams Unlimited Travel does not charge any fees. They are paid by commission through Disney.

And in addition to that, they often offer onboard credits for most Disney cruises. We have a $200 onboard credit for our upcoming 7-night NYC/Bahamas cruise!

I just booked through them and the cost was SLIGHTLY less than it would've been directly through the site. It also included a $100 on-board credit for a 4-night cruise.

TAs basic cruise cost us never lower than the DCL site, yes you get on board credits which some consider as a lower price but it's a rebate on commission, always compare like with like, port taxes, transfers, if tips included etc. Overall price us the same however you book it.

You pay their expenses, of course, but your payment is built into the cruise price, not a separate itemized charge. Just like the OBC, that's just built into your cruise price. So, the quoted cruise price (once port fees and taxes are included) you see is the total you pay, no more.

Dreams Unlimited will book you the exact same reservation at the exact same price you would get to go through Disney directly. They are paid a commission from Disney which covers their expenses and your OBC.
