Yes, I know I'm way too early yet but I've been thinking about this since I booked my room at CBR weeks ago :p

I'm planning on having my DU agent Carole make my PS's for my Christmas trip. I'm just totally paranoid because am I right in saying that you are not notified that the PS is made until just before your trip?

A few of my restaurant selections are very popular and at Christmas especially are likely to be BUSY BUSY BUSY. I don't want to find that some PS's were not made until it's too late. For example, being left without a PS on 12/25 would be awful.

Can anyone share their experiences of using DU for making PS's? I'm probably being silly but I really want everything to go smoothly for this trip.

Hi,

Don't worry about that at all. Just write an email to your Dreams Unlimited agent and tell him/her for which restaurants you want a PS for which day and time and for how many people.
They will make the PS as soon as possible and your PS numbers will appear soon in their online section which you can access with your reference number and password at their site.
Also if plans change and you want to reschedule something, ask your agent kindly and they will take care of it.
Sometimes they are really quick with their response. One their response was within a few hours. I think if you ask for a PS they will make it within one or two days.

Hope this helps,

Marcel.

Thanks Marcel, that has calmed my rampant paranoia somewhat. I had forgotten about the online password section with the account details :p

Hi Miss Mickie Mania (TimUK here from chat),

I also have Carole as my Dreams agent, and she has made a few PS's for us for our August trip. As soon as she has made them the PS number is posted on our Dreams intinerary.

I believe you can go to Guest Services when you arrive and get a printout of all your PS's - just so you remember when and where they all are :)

Hey Tim :D Are you tired out with the dancing in the chatroom? :p

Thanks for the info. I'm glad you get to 'see' the PS's on-screen. I just had this mad thought that I'd arrive at V&A on Dec25th and they'd turn us away! I really don't fancy having a Big Mac for my Christmas dinner LOL.

I didn't know you could get a printout of all PS's either. That will be very helpful as I plan on making quite a lot of them.

I have Carole also as my DU agent. She has been very easy and nice to work with. This is my fourth time working with Dreams. I used to be paranoid too about the PS, but now I dont worry anymore. I just let my agent know my requests and I have yet to be disappointed. Carole posts my PS numbers on the itinerary site whenever they are made. It is great. Good luck with your trip.:Pinkbounc

Actually, you don't even have to wait to go to Guest Services for your printout - DU will "release" to you your complete itinerary, with all PS's and confirmation #'s listed in a day-by-day format. It is uaually available to you in its final format about 10 days before your trip begins. You access it the same way you access your in-progress itinerary on the website. Then you just print it up and take it with you, along with about 10 pages of REALLY handy tips for vacationing in WDW. It was absolutely fab! I studied it a few days before our trip began, and consulted it many times during each day at WDW.:)

Have fun!

I'm so glad to read this thread! I've booked my trip through DU for the first time and I'm using their option for making PS'. One restaurant that I could book in advance already has a confirmation#. I'm crossing my fingers about the character meals, in your experience, do you think I'll get them? They already charged me for booking CRT. Do they have an *in* with Disney?

Miss Mickey Mania- V&A for Christmas dinner sounds lovely!

I've been using DU for my Aug trip. Shirley, my agent, has been terrific. I sent her a list of the priority seatings I wanted and gave her a time-frame too. So far, all my ps's are exactly what I wanted! I've even had to cancel some and it has been taken care of with good humor! Poor Shirley..I just can't seem to make up my mind at times!!! You're in safe hands with DU.

YIPPEEEEE!!! I'm so relieved and very excited now! Since I'm not going until December I'm waiting until the end of July or early August to email my requests to DU. It's a bit surreal planning dining so far in advance, but fun too. I just know I'll be manic and checking my itinerary all the time :p.

Laurabelle, I think V&A will be amazing for 12/25. It was the thread on the board which reviewed it recently that swung the vote for me. I really want my Christmas day meal to be special but just couldn't decide until I saw that thread.

Thanks for posting everybody. It's always good to get reassurance from those who have some personal experience.

We have used DU for our last 3 trips and they have gotten us evrything we wanted including CRT and an Illuminations cruise. They also cheerfully change PSs if you change your mind.
