Dreams Unlimited,how soon can you get a quote?

On another thread I started about going in 2008, some posters got me thinking about going in 2006.

I have been looking at some dates and picked toward the end of April. That way it will be pretty close to the end of the school year. Anyone know when Easter is next year and is there anything going on in April at the parks?

Since it's only 2005, is it to soon to get a quote from Dreams Unlimited for 2006?

They will probably give you a quote now with the stipulation that it will increase when 2006 room prices come out.

Easter 2006 will fall on April 16.

Spring Breaks usually last from mid-March to early April. With a late Easter, they will probably extend into late April. The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival runs from late April thru June. You can expect some Grad nights on Fridays & Saturdays in late April as well.

Thanks mad4themouse! I really don't want to put up with all of that so maybe we will go for December. We have always wanted see the Christmas decorations.

For April I had picked out the 17th - 24th. For December the 14th- 22nd would seem like a good time for us. Kids wouldn't be missing that much school plus we would be leaving before Christmas so the in laws can't say anything about us not being around for the holidays. Plus I have read that it really gets busy the week before Christmas. What is considered the week before Christmas? Knowing our luck it's probably the week we want to go.
Maybe going from Nov 2 - Nov 10 would be better plus we would be there for DH's birthday. I don't remember it being this hard to pick dates for our first trip. LOL!!!

Edited: If I get enough money saved up by the end of the year or sooner, can I purchase tickets to use on our next trip? Not sure if that can be done with these new MYW tickets or not. Thanks!!!

Early- to mid-December is a magical time to visit WDW. You've got the Osborne Family Lights (MGM), The Candlelight Processional (EPCOT) and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MK). In additional, evrything is decorated for the holidays. The parks are not very crowded around the 14th but may begin to crowded as you near the 22nd. The weather can range from warm to chilling.

Early November is nice but you have to watch out for "Jersey Week", when all of the schools in New Jersey are closed for teacher's conventions and many families choose to head to WDW. It used to be a great time to go but now, more people are aware of it and it has become even more crowded during that time. Jersey Week is usually around Veteran's Day, so you may miss it is you go 11/2-10, but it may depend on when they decide to do it. Veteran's Day falls on a Saturday in 2006. If New Jersey Schools decide to do their meetings before Veteran's Day, you'll be there with them.

With regards to the MYW tickets: They are good forever until you activate them. Once activated, they will expire after 14 days unless you purchased the non-expiry option.

Thanks mad4themouse for all the info!! Any suggestions on who has the cheapest prices for the MYW tickets? Figure if I get them this year that would be one less thing to worry about next year, plus don't have to worry about the price increase.

The best price on MYW tickets will depend upon what you're looking ot purchase.

The best price on the 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-day MYW Premium passes would be at HotwireSavingsClub.

If you don't want the "plus" feature or need the 10-day passes, then Ticketmania and DiscountOrlandoVacation have good deals and offer free shipping. Check the MouseSavers Newsletter for links to specials from both.

Almost all of the websites offer the same pricing for the MYW base tickets. If that's all you want, I would definitely choose one that offers free shipping.

For shorter stays (3-days or less), you can buy "convention" passes thru GayDay.com, but those passes expire Dec. 30, 2005. However, it's a good idea to keep the site in mind for 2006. Chances are very good that they will repeat the same ticket offers next year.

DH has changed his mind once again and is now talking about going to Disney in May of 2006. Says he can't wait all the way to October or December. LOL!!!

I have read some posts about maybe getting a child's AP, but not sure if that can be used for the discounts like a adult AP. We have been doing some figuring about either staying at Pop or the Contemporary. I know it's like comparing beer to champane. LOL!!! I would like to stay at the CR, but DH isn't to crazy about the price, that's why I would love to know, along with outhers, if the child's AP can be used for discounts. Either way I will be happy cause I'm at WDW.

I have looked up May 2006 and have come to the these dates May 11-19. We'll be there for Mother's Day. Plus DS and DD won't miss that much school since it's the end of the school year. Is there anything going on at Disney around these dates that I should be aware of?

If any codes come out, how far in advance does Disney release them?
