We are a family of four, two wonderful daughters (10 and 7) counting down the days to cast off our parkas.

This is our 8th sailing with DCL, our first on the Dream, and we have also booked a back to back cruise departing March 13th. Magic has been our home for the past 10 years so we are a little forlorn about all the cast members we are leaving behind, especially our dining team.

We participated in the FE gifts for the first time during our last cruise in the Med and the girls were delighted with the creativity and generosity of our fellow passengers.

In addition to the FE gifts, please let me know if you are a firefighter or related to a firefighter, so I can pack a Toronto Firefighter T-Shirt for you.

FYI, we have one DD who is 7 and would love to meet new friends, AND, as it would happen, we are doing a B2B as well, departing March 13th! We'll be on the boat with you guys for all 7 days.

Hi everyone I haven't checked in on this board on a while it was so quiet for so long. We are doing B2B with the 13th cruise as well travelling with my DW, DD(10) and my parents. This is our 2nd time on DCL (Wonder '08) and my parents first time, although they are seasoned cruisers. We will not be doing F.E. but will try to be at the meet.

Sinthia I would love to trade shirts but they would look an awful lot a like as I am now at 233 'C' but spent most of my career at 343 'C' where your DH first started. Chris.

Hi all!
I am packing now and decided that I don't feel like packing a suit and dress for Palo. Next cruises with be with our kids and will better appreciate a couple hours alone.

So if anyone has been wanting a Palo ressie, I am about to cancel ours. It's on CC day, 6 pm IIRC.

Keep an eye out!!!

Much sadness in my house. We were all set to start packing yesterday, and then DH's appendix ruptured. He had surgery last night, and probably won't be leaving the hospital until Friday, according to the surgeon.

I will never ever NOT buy trip insurance again, because I know that this close to the cruise, there is nothing we can really do. But I did talk to a very sympathetic reservation supervisor, who said he'd try to work something out - maybe re-booking at a later date for a minimal fee. As long as we can find a date that works, I would be more than thrilled with that.

We aren't on the FE list, but I had been looking forward to the meet, and I'm sad we'll be missing that. Have fun everyone! Maybe we'll meet some other time.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. I know you must be so disappointed but try to look on the bright side: at least it happened at home and not while on the ship/in a foreign country where access to medical care may not be so quick or to American standards.

jfugina, so sorry for you. I hope you can work something out and travel at a later date. We would be in the same boat, as our travel agent applied our final payment before she was supposed to so we didn't get the insurance either. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your dh!

For jfugina, I'm sorry to hear of your news. I hope everything is okay now and he is feeling better and recovering well. Perhaps we'll meet on a future cruise.

Just a note to all the FE participants-a hearty thank you for all the goodies. I am currently in our hotel trying to pack tons of FE goodies in a bag that was near capacity when I left (due to overpacking LOL).
