My wish is to take our entire family, including adult children and grandkids to WDW next year! There would be 6 adults and 3 children (ages 9, 5 and 2) needing 3 separate rooms.
Yet like most of us, the pricetag is unfortunately an issue. I guess the best way to ask my question is point blank-are there ever any discounts on room rates, park tickets, etc for larger families? How about with a Grand Gathering "plan?"
For difficult reasons, we have not been all together in years. Seems like a lifetime to me. I just want so very much to make this dream a reality! :grouphug:

i don't remember hearing anything bout rates for families but if your dates are flexible, we got a rate of 50 a night for pop in Jan of 04... www.mousesavers.com has a list of room rate promos and sends out a newletter with discounts ( sign up on that site). hopefully disney will keep up the tradition but so far it hasn't been a good yr except for the free dining. we hope to do something similar for our anniversary next yr and am hoping for deep discounts! ( or a big bunch of money to fall from the sky:)!)

Pixie Dust to you! :wizard:

Spend some time on these boards and you will learn how to get the best value for your money. I have learned so many tips here, and I hope that you will find a way to make your dream a reality! :sunny:

Why yes, there are many discounts out there. First off don't try to make reservations using the Disneyworld web site, we learned that's a big no no.
Try to find a travel agent in the FL area my DW ::MinnieMo used Kingdom Magic travel agency. Try AAA discount or if possible a goverment discount if you have anyone working for the Gov't as well as passes, Ticketmania I think has the best prices when it comes to passes.
My family of three children, my DW ::MinnieMo and I stayed on site for 10 days for less than $3,000. and that included airfare.
All you have to do is a little research and you'll be able to make your Disney dreams come true.

With AAA you only have to put down a $200 deposit and have your balance paid off within 45 days of departure. I don't know if this is a disney thing or a AAA thing. Good Luck!!!!!! :earsboy:

The free dining plan was the answer for us. We are having a grand family and friends gathering - 19 people and 7 rooms - in early October. We are all staying at ASMu for $77 per night, with free food. It's about the least expensive Disney trip I can imagine. I learned about it here, and was I ever glad!!

Also consider getting an Annual Pass. You can reserve up to 3 rooms with one pass, and the discounts are significant - you can get value resort rooms for about $59 per night in value season. Discounts for deluxe hotels are about $70 per night off the normal rate.

AAA discounts are also good. You can get a value room for $68 per night including tax.

Subscribe to the Mousesavers newsletter at www.mousesavers.com. There is information abolut lots of discounts there, for tickets, resorts, off-site hotels, car rentals and airfare. Also try www.themouseforless.com.

There are lots of discount options. Stick around here and you'll find lots of them!

but great idea! You will have so much fun! And how lucky for those you will take!
This forum will definately give you discount options for your vacation, you are in the right place.
Although I am a huge fan of staying on site, I'd consider staying off property in your case. You probably could find a house or condo for rent that all of you could stay at which would give you more time for togetherness and a chance to save money on dining by cooking your own meals.

Where there is a will, there is a way! Good luck! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc
