Dreaming of the Disney DREAM, Feb 17, 2013

We just booked this cruise and our airfare! Yay! I am so glad to have that done because we had been booked on the Wonder 5 night cruise sailing on Feb 16th and I never would have guessed that the airfare would be such a problem and a deal breaker for us! We are sad to leave our old group but excited to join yours. We ABSOLUTELY want in on the FE exchange. We are:

Natalie (mom)
Aaron (dad)
Braden - age 7
Cailin - age 3

What other information do you want for the the FE group?

:welcome:

Welcome to the group! party:

So are you a teacher? What do you teach? I have been helping with math lessons in my son's 1st grade class. Although it is fun, I am learning that I truly don't have what it takes to be a full time teacher :).

Yes, I AM a teacher. I teach English, German, Geography, Computer science, Needlework and Home Economics.
I know it can be challenging at times, but after 33 years of doing it, you definitely get used to it. ;)

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! We are very excited - but then who wouldn't be? :)

I am trying to figure out what our FE gift(s) will be. It is so hard to decide when you have never done it before. There are just so many cute craft ideas out there. It really makes me wish I was a crafty person! I am also trying to figure out what to use for a fish extender. Too many choices!

Dizneeat - I am amazed at the number of subject you teach! Wow. Teaching is such an admirable profession.

There are many choices for FEs! :thumbsup2 And you do not even have to be crafty for them. We have seen some really "unusual" ones. But you can just use a simple shopping bag - just decorate it a little. ;)

Cathy put me onto the face book group: Fish Extender Disney Cruise Line. Wow - there is a LOT of stuff there! I recommend it to anyone who has several hours to kill :).

I don't do facebook, so I don't know what's on there, but there are two threads about FE gifts and one that shows all different FEs. Just use the search option to look for it. :thumbsup2

I do enjoy it when I have time to look through it all...lol
It's very helpful...:thumbsup2

I try to keep up with the thread about FEs on the DIS and it is HARD. Too many people have too many brilliant ideas. :rotfl2:

It's a great idea to add on a nice little Disney cruise! :thumbsup2 That's what we did. ;)

I'll add you to the FE right away. Thanks for giving me all the info!

Yes...I just wanted to re-do everything again from scratch...lol

:wave2: Hello...
Quick "?" :scratchin Who has the 1st seating for dinner?
We were thinking of changing it to the later seating, but honestly I feel too old...:lmao: If we dine that late I'll be ready for bedtime soon after. If we dine earlier, there's a better chance I stay out with DH later :rotfl:

Karin, we were hoping to dine with you, but let make plans to meet afterwards in the lounges...

We just booked yesterday and the only thing left was late seating. This will be our 4th Disney cruise and we have always had the early seating. I have wait listed for early seating, but the more I think about it I can see advantages to late seating. With early seating, every night of every cruise we were rushed to get to dinner. If we were out doing things during the day, there is no rest time before dinner and the night time activities. The thought of my 2 and 4 year olds eating dinner at 9pm is crazy, but maybe if they have a rest/nap prior to that this would refresh them. On past cruises, I have had them cranky and falling asleep at the early seating because of no rest. So maybe this would actually work out better. I would love to hear others opinions.

I've actually read that the later seating is better for some families, even with smaller children.
I've read that the children tend to stay awake for the shows and dinner.

Maybe a little nap before the show...we had a late seating also when DS was 5yrs old...but I hardly remember what we did about dinner :scratchin...I know we dinned ever night at our assigned dinning rooms...he will be 15 on our next cruise.

Dinner at 8:15 was very relaxing for us. As soon as DS was done with dinner, he swiftly speeded to the teen club. We hung around, chatted and joked with the other families we shared the table with and our wonderful hostess Ana...

I am sure there will lots of opportunities to get together, even if we do not dine together, Dania.
We will definitely stick with our second seating. No way can I eat at 5.45! At that time I still have some lunch digesting to do! :rotfl2:

I can't believe we are close to the 4 month mark! :woohoo:

Great to see more people jumping on board! Only 4 months and 9 days to go - I better start getting serious about working out!
