Ok all, my dearest darlingist hubby sprung something on me today, and threw me for a loop....

Here goes... Since our ten year anniversary is this year, but due to finances we can not do what we had planned, he suggested doing this next year...tell me what you would do....

Doing the special western and then doing another 7 nighter...back to back.. :goodvibes I think I am going to faint.....

My dilemna is the cruises that precede or follow the special cruise is also a western.....SO would you do a western, and then the special western, or after it......???????????????????????????????????

I submitted a quote...Preparing to faint..ANd like since you are booking two cruises basically, would the deposit be double?? I guess it would...Just checking on your valued opinions.....

Thank You everyone... Even though it is not till next year, I could manage getting through this year without one, if I knew I had this to look forward to...

Thanks again... :teeth:

I would a 10 day cruise if it is offered and do three days at disney. Or I would just do 1 7nighter and spurge and use the extra money on a higher cat or extras like the spa (couple massage), palos (every day?) and lots of excursions and shopping.

I'm pretty sure if you book 2 seperate cruises you have a deposit for each of them.

Good Luck!

Nicole

If I was able to do back to back cruises I would try to make sure that one of them was the Eastern. The ports are so pretty & you would be getting two stops at CC with two weeks anyway.

This is true Lisa...The only thing keeping me from really settling on the western was Grand Cayman.. But now that you mention it, one western, and one eastern, and I could just use the Grand Cayman day as a day on an empty ship.....

Thanks everyone for their imput...keep em coming Please :confused3

Are you saying that because of the tendering or the damage to the island? They will probably be up & running better by the time you cruise. Cozumel will also hopefully be in better shape since they have been redoing their main road for over a year now. If it is the tendering, St. Thomas can also be a tender port depending on the ship's schedule.

Yes, it is the tendering..Did it on the one western that we did...I just so prefer the eastern, gorgeous beaches...Boy, now you just have me remembering about the possibility to tender in St. THomas....

oh well, I think I have time to decide..But if we get a great deal, I think we will book it...I love to go to new places, so Costa Maya was very interesting...It was one of the reasons we did the special eastern in September...Antigua was nice, and new for us...

Thanks for the reminder... :)

We did back to backs this past Sept/Oct and I would HIGHLY recommend it!! Yes, you will need to pay two deposits, but if you book early enough, after you get past the shock of throwing down $1000 for deposits, you can put money to it each month so it is not a huge shock at the end. I don't know if I would care to do two westerns back to back....if you going to do it, get the variety and see if you can work out and eastern and western. We went to Antigua, too on our eastern and I LOVED it! Now, Costa Maya....I could have left that one out, easily! Not a big fan. You'll be spoiled rotton after being on the ship for 14 days, and getting to watch the turn around in Port Canaveral is pretty interesting.

If you book back to backs during off season (hurricane season  it bit us in the rear!) you could do two cruises cheaper than the 14-day repos or the 10-night holiday cruises. Those prices were insane.

WOW something really nice must have been planned if your replacing it with back-to-back cruise!!!!! :worship:

I would do a Western/Eastern, but I would be hesitant to do the same route twice..

The only port they have in common is Cozumel..........well CC but who would not want more CC? We are booked on the 9-16-06 special western only because of the 2 stops in CC. We were on the cruise with two-foxes and we agree with them about Cost Maya, will probably not even get off the boat. I suppose being stuck on the Magic is not too bad, actually that's what we (our family) pay for, not the ports. My sister on the other hand had a ball in Costa Maya with her family.

I say, who cares about the ports......the prices are great and rooms are filling fast. Book it and we will see you in 2006!

:) Can someone please tell me what it is they don't like about tendering? I hear this all the time. Is it the waiting for the tender or what?? I don't love it but it doesn't really matter much to me and I just wondered what it is that people dislike so much......please take this the way it is intended...just really curious. :)
