Hi everyone! Does anyone know how much photo packages and photo CD's cost on the cruise? Trying to start planning for incidentals!

I think I've answered my own question! I found this link to a good list of prices. Not sure how current it is, but since it mentions the Photo CD (which I've heard is relatively new), it should be pretty close.

I couldn't get this to load. I heard the cd on the 3night was $199. I haven't seen this in print though.

Oops, the Kingdoms is plural, I fixed it in the link.

The link says the CD is $250, which is really pricey. Even $200 isn't close to the PhotoPass CD price, which is $100 on pre-order. I'll have to think about this one!

I think it was $249 for the four night cruise.

The price of photos in general on the ship is MUCH more than on land. I'm not sure what we'll be doing this time. We had our DFTW last time, so we had an entire package of photos of our vow renewal, but I still bought another 1/2 dozen or so.

Ok, my next question is about tipping.

Aside from mousekeeping, I assume we tip our waiter each night at dinner? Who else or where else would we generally tip?

Disney provides a 'list' of those you should tip and the recommended amount. You can 'pre-pay' these tips ahead of time (and are given a slip to give the person). You'll be left envelopes for tips in your stateroom prior to the last nights dinner. You will use those to give to the appropriate people.

Here is info right from the Disney Cruise site

THESE are per person, so in our case, there are four of us, so we'll multiple that out.

Ooh, very good to know. Thanks for the link!

I've been trying to go through the info on the Cruise website (and other places), but perhaps I should be more systematic in my approach! Like maybe picking one topic a day from the DCL FAQ pages and reading up on it. Everyone we are traveling with (including myself) is a first-time Disney cruiser (or first-time cruiser ever) and they are all just following my lead. So I have to learn as much as I can about everything for everyone (our party includes young children, baby boomers, and young adults, including one who is wheelchair bound). Luckily, I have 5 more months to prepare!

I'm certain you'll all have a wonderful time. How great of you to organize this for your group. And it will all come together as it gets closer.

You should definitely get a Passporter cruise guide, either from the library or bookstore/Amazon - it will give you all the info you need in a great format. It has the latest and greatest info on menus, costs, excursions, spa treatments, packing lists, etc. It is fun to read and will make you even more excited about the trip!

Thanks for the suggestion! I know there are alot of Disney planning guides out there and it's hard to choose one. So I will definitely look into the Passporter cruise guide. Thanks!

We just booked on the New York to Canada cruise for next summer! So excited. We've never been on the Magic and not having to pay to fly or rent a car is awesome. This is one cruise I never thought I'd get to take (since we like Disney so much).

Good for you! Those NY itineraries are so tempting! We would love the Canadian one as well, but it would have to replace our normal Disney vacation--and I'm not ready for that yet! :)

Awesome! I was kind hoping for a Med cruise, as I never seemed able to time my holidays right. Still, I will be really looking hard at whatever is on offer for 2013!

We were discussing the NY cruises today. Just couldn't do it since we won't know DHs vacation schedule until December :(

I love the 2 day cruise for a weekend away so I am thinking I may do that for DHs birthday present.

I sent you a FB request.

THanks for the Passporters endorsement I am thinking of getting on since this is all new for us.

I checked out the 2 day cruise. I thought it would be a fun mommy/daughter weekend. It was almost as much money as this 3 day trip - for 4 or us! I just couldn't justify the price. I really would have loved to do it. I am happy for all of you who can go.

Joy, I was surprised they are so much. Dale and I are booked on the five night Canadian cruise (inside cabin) for about the same as this cruise (three night; verandah and four of us). But, we won't have to fly (cost $800 +/- to fly to MCO; rental car for the trip; hotel night before cruise). When I figured those in, it's so worth it for us to do this five night for just 'us'. I too thought the two night was a bit pricey for going 'nowhere'.

I was also surprised at the cost of a 2-day cruise. We are doing a 5-night (also very expensive) in August 2012 and we were considering adding on the 2-night since we know a lot of folks going on the one after our 5-night. Wow - the price was shocking!

On a 3 night cruise, how often does the group get together to meet? Is it something like a "Deck 10 at 3pm today" and then everyone goes their separate ways after that?

TIA!

On our first (and only) Disney Cruise, we had one 'official' meet up before the sail away party. Although we had 'linked' a few of our ressies together (since we were having a DFTW) and that enabled us to sit together at dinner and get to know some in our group better. We've made good friends with our table mates and have seen both families since cruising. We also 'ran into' one of the other families at Pop and keep in touch via f/b; email and such.

So for 'meet-ups' it can be anything we all decide on. There were some in our 'group' that we never got to 'meet' since they couldn't make the 'meet up' but still got to 'share' in their cruise via the FE exchange.
