"Dream Weavers" September 1, 2011

I don't think Aubre and Tyler want me covering them with Kisses and tucking them in. LOL
Tyler might not mind:banana: but i'm sure Aubre would:scared1:
Yes Lisa, Patty show'd me our new room for weaving dreams. I think it will be very nice. Like Alex wrote :surfweb: it will be cool watching as things go by. I am so psyched for the trip already but he have 1 possibly 2 WDW trips first. Ok Patty whats the count down now?

Ok fellow "Dream Weavers" :worship::worship::worship: Are Cathy, Patty and I the only ones going to visit WDW before our cruise? Is anybody else out there a DVC owner? :confused3

Ok, I'm in...The Disney Dream September 1st, 2011 cruise will be our first cruise ever! Although I'm not planning on canceling, I do like that we have until June of next year to do so without penalty--just in case! That's what finally sold me on booking now while rates are low. We were considering going on a cruise December 2010 or September 2011, but when we compared rates, it was a no-brainer. For about the same price, we would have gotten an inside stateroom in December, but were able to get a verandah in September. I figured why not get a balcony, since kids rates go up as they get older and it would only be less affordable in the future!

As for WDW before the cruise--we haven't fully decided, but may spend one night before and one night after (we are not DVC owners). My daughter will have started school a week before the departure date and I'm not fond of removing her for too long at the beginning of the school year (any other time, I wouldn't have cared so much!). She'll be in first grade that year and you know how kids are that first week---getting used to their seating assignments, learning their classmates names, etc. So although I would like to stay at WDW longer, I don't want her to lose too much of that initial introduction period. Other than that, I figure she won't be missing that much schooling in the first week or two.

So Bahamas and Castaway Cay, here we come!! :woohoo:

We are going to get a Room at the Poly for after the cruise, but only for one night. Then we will fly home on Monday. It will be sooo hot so I plan on just relaxing by the pool having dinner at Ohana and watching the fireworks from the beach!

Welcome aboard ThereYouSeeHer:thumbsup2 I guess i should clarify my question about visiting WDW before the cruise. :confused3 I didn't mean the week prior. I meant between now and the cruise. I think a 3 day cruise is great for a first timer. It will probably leave you wanting more more more:banana::cool1:We are doing the 3 dayer for our 2 little ones and because of the cost. We are Disney Holics. :thumbsup2

Thanks! Ah, prior to--as in now. Yes, we will be there in December, our favorite time of year to go!

I also figured a 3-day cruise would be a good test run and is more affordable.

Can't wait!

Patty and i will be down the end of November - beginning of December. We are staying at Kidani or Jumbo House, I don't remember. Patty makes all the ressies. I just go along. We found this was the best time to view the Osborn Festival of lights in DHS:santa:. We also plan on checking out the decorations in all of the WDW hotelspopcorn::. And of course attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. :santa::santa:I love it when everybody but you has to leave the park for the party.
This is actually Dale typing (hunt and peck really):littleangel:. I didn't realize the computer was logged in under Patty:confused3 Oh well The message is the same. Well actually i'm more humerous and she is prettier. I hope she's prettier. It wouldn't be to good if i was pretty. I ramble. :thumbsup2

You should join the December thread (if you haven't already)! We are planning on going about December 9th-13th. I'm waiting on the Candlelight Processional info to be announced. Our dates are flexible. Also wishing they would release the D23 Magic and Merriment info soon, although that will probably be closer to fall time when they announce.

Ughh...all this waiting. Planning for December keeps my mind off the 15 month wait for our cruise!

We are going AFTER the cruise, lol.

Never mind, just read your other post about 'visiting' Disney between now and the cruise.

Another Welcome Aboard to you 'thereyouseeher'.

Dale should clarify, our two 'little ones' will be 20 and 23 on the cruise, lol. We are still trying to get our son, dil and beautiful grand daughter to go on the cruise too.

:rotfl2: You are a riot honey.

Nice to have you with us! We were first timers last year, and loved every single second of the cruise. It was a 4-night, and not enough :rotfl: but what can you do? We are doing the 3 night this time round because we will (hopefully, with fingers crossed) be staying at Disney for two weeks prior, and in the Universal area 4 days prior to that! I also would like to squeeze in a trip to Discovery Cove and a week in New York... - this is probably why I will be feeding my family plain spaghetti for the next 15 months:confused3.

Thanks!

And about the plain spaghetti--seriously, the budget starts now, right?? It sounds like you have a great vacation in the works!

This will be our part 2 of our b2b also. This will be our 4th and 5th cruise.

It'll be myself, dh and ds(then 11).

We had a great price so we invited all our friends and family to join us for the b2b or even just a piece of it.

Does anybody know if they'll do pirate night still?

ACK. Have to remember to buy my FE. I invited new DCL people to sail with us and have to give them the lay of the land.

Welcome Mattmommy! I am sure B2B will be amazing! How wonderful that so many people are already 'getting on board' so to speak, so early in the game!:woohoo: :yay:

Welcome Mattmommy,

Great minds think alike! We too are doing the B2B on this cruise with 4 families (total 13 people).
It should be a blast:thumbsup2

Welcome Mattmommy. I'm jealous of those back to back cruises, that's got to be amazing! Welcome to our cruise thread. Are the others in your group 'Dis' members? If so, send them over, or introduce them to the wealth of information that is on here.

We are cruising with out kids, but have some friends that are also either booked (Lisa) or waiting to book.

Since we are up to four pages and more joining, I thought it was time to start tracking our group. I'll update the first post of this thread as information becomes available. If we get a lot of people interested in the FE, then we can start a separate thread and link them. But for the time being, if you'd 'introduce' yourself and your group with the following info.

Your disname; real name (first names only); and who is in your party.

pjstevens (and dstevens); Patricia & Dale; and our dd (23) Aubre & ds (20) Tyler.

Thanks Pat for organizing.

debsters41; Debbie; traveling with Emmanuella (15) :thumbsup2 for FE
