I thougth these were sister ships so they would be about equal. I notice on the website the fantasy is lacking in clubs( the amount) in comparision, as well as the royla palace dining. Is that somethong they will add? Why the difference. It seems to have less.

This is all just a guess...

But the ships are to be sister ships - not identical twins. ;)

Just as there are small differences on the Wonder/Magic, I would imagine the same to be true of the Dream/Fantasy.

Royal Palace is just off the main atrium, as Lumiere's/Triton's is on the Magic/Wonder. It will still be a restaurant on the Fantasy, I'm sure - but carrying a different theme.

Same thing with the adult entertainment area. There will still be clubs and such - just not the same ones that are on the Dream.

As I said - that's all just complete guess work! :)

I'm with the PP, but one club that I hope makes it over is skyline -- having the Chicago background would be a little like home.

Maybe I was not clear.

While I certainly noticed they are different on each ship like magic/wonder each restaurant or bar has a different name and theme etc. I get that, when I was looking their website thier was no other rest. in place for the royal palace, it is just one restaurant less. Also their is like 3 less bars or so. :confused3 Perhaps they will add more and it is just not listed on the website yet??

I thought they would be very similar but it seems like the dream has more places to offer than fantasy( which is a longer itinerary).

There will be restaurants/bars in the same locations, but they have not released the names yet. I'm sure they will release the information a little at a time like they did with the Dream to keep up a level of interest.

Oh okay. That explains it.:lmao: I was trying to decide which I would book on board if we like cruising. But was leaning towards dream if it had more.

We're planning to sail on the May 19th, 2012 Fantasy cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. I'm wondering if my fellow DISers think there will be the hullabaloo for the Fantasy (maiden voyage, inaugural cruise, media stuff, etc.) that the Dream had? Since we won't be on the Dream, I'm hopeful "our" ship will get all the pomp and circumstance. On the other hand, I wonder if the Dream was such a big deal because it's the first ship in more than a decade. The same won't be true for the Fantasy. I hope she's not the forgotten little sister out-shined by her big sis. ;) Any thoughts?

The other thing to keep in mind, is that DCLs site in general lacks a lot of info on the new ships. They prob for what ever reason havent put it in yet. 1 thing that comes to mind is that the names of the gift shops are not (at least not as of last week) listed, and the fast food place names by the pools on the Dream are missing also.just to name a few things. I can see where the Fantasy will have a different name for a rest, or club, but it will be in the same location, and same size and layout, with a different decor, and theme.

Having the Chicago background with 21 inches of snow piled on top of it would really be like home.
