Dream Thanksgiving cruise Nov 23, 2015

Don't be too impressed. I just took (purchased) a pocket organizer from the dollar store and will be decorating it with fabric and patches and maybe some ribbon. When I went to the store to get supplies I had the intention to make it Mickey themed or Pirate themed. When I left the store I had all Frozen themed stuff. So I hope my mom likes Frozen?!

I just looked up those "oh snap" pockets by 31. They are so cute and would be perfect for a FE! I also saw one made out of pencil bags. It was really nice and similar to snap pockets.

I think the pencil bags work the same way. I was invited to a FB party and bought 3 for a birthday and 3 for Christmas gift. I will let you know if they are as cute as the pic.

We have not cruised Thanksgiving week before. There is at least one family here who has. When you read through this thread there are some links to info about the special things Disney is doing during Thanksgiving Cruises and Christmas cruises. Our cruise falls into both categories. I just got an email yesterday stating that the Dream will have some made over areas being revealed one month before we cruise. Did anyone else get that email?

Let's see of third time is the charm. Have had to postpone my cruise twice so far maybe Thanksgiving will be lucky!! Anyway, we are Me (48), DH(48), DS(18), DS(16) and DS(16). I'm not telling them this time just so it won't be jinxed!

I received that email! So excited because we are Star Wars nerds.

On the embarkation day when you can tour all of the areas that would otherwise be off limits we will be spending some time on the Millennium Falcon.

I also saw the Star Wars remodel article! My kids can't wait, especially the 12 year old. He is obsessed with SW!! Can't wait to meet all of you! Getting closer by the minute!

I switched the FE spreadsheet to Excel so if anyone would like a copy just PM me and I can email it to you. Dis does not allow us to post links to google docs anymore. I can also send you the link to the google spreadsheet if that is easier. I guess I will keep updating both for now unless no one asks for the google one.

Also, are we planning on having a meet up the first day? Last time we picked a spot to meet at the port and also we met up in one of the lounges later that day. Thoughts??

I think that's a great idea to have a meet up the first day! Last cruise we reserved a room in one of the stacks for a meet up later in the week but that was also a 7 day cruise. The view from that room was awesome! My DH has also organized a poker game on past cruises. If anyone is interested we can do it again. Meeting at the cruise terminal is a great idea because we are usually waiting around anyway. We should also have one on the ship for those who don't make it to the terminal in time. How did you recognize each other? One cruise we all wore lime green leis. On another we wore green bracelet bands.

I think I like excel better myself!! I think last cruise someone made green lanyards to pass out at the meet and greet, that way we would know each other when we passed on the ship! I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other quite a bit because our cabins are very close to each other!!
