Dream Thanksgiving cruise Nov 23, 2015

I found this article that gives good info about what you don't have to pay for on the ship vs. what you would have to pay for. Good for first time cruisers and a refresher for the rest of us. :earboy2: I am looking forward to ordering the Mickey ice cream bars from room service at no charge! :mickeybar It is something we do every cruise. We do always give a tip though when we order room service. http://pitstopsforkids.com/2012/04/...-youll-pay-extra-for-onboard-a-disney-cruise/

Great info! Thanks!

What return flight times is everyone considering when going back home? I dont want to miss a too early flight, but i also dont want to sit at the airport all afternoon..
This is all contingent on my family of four NOT hitch-hiking our way from Houston to Port Canaveral!

I haven't been able to find any airlines who are selling for those dates yet. Maybe by the end of the month. We should be off of the ship with our luggage by 8:30am and I imagine that you could get off earlier if you needed too. We do plan to get a flight out that day but if the prices are significantly better for the next day we may possibly stay overnight. We will not go anywhere near the madness at Disney after the cruise! :scared:

United has flights from Houston posted for AM flight at $381 and as high as $402 for return flights at 11:55am or 4:15pm. Price jumps to $682 for a 12:55pm flight!

I hope those are round trip prices! I would book asap because the prices are only going to go up. Going out probably not a busy time but coming home with all of the other Thanksgiving travelers will be a very busy time! I better check Frontier and SWA to make sure the aren't selling yet. We plan to use points so I gotta be on top of that!

When will SWA release November flights? I can't find any info on the release dates. Except 6 months out. I just like to book early so everything is paid off and I can save $ for souvenirs.

SWA has their schedules posted online until Oct 30 2015. I'm betting they will release November 2015 on April 1st.

Gonna book it early so I get an early flight out. Gonna be at WDW 2 days before cruise. Besides around that time prices will probably only go up.

So are we (going to be at WDW 2 days before the cruise) Maybe we will bump into you at MVMCP!
Lot's of people travel during Thanksgiving. Airline tickets are second highest in price only compared to Christmas. It works like booking a cruise, the more people book the more the price goes up. I imagine that it will start out with higher prices. We are going to try to use some points for as many tickets as we can get. That also means that half of us will be flying on one airline and half will be on another. :crazy2:
Tomorrow I am going down to the courthouse to turn in paperwork to renew DD's passport. It's like the cruise is just around the corner!

I really need to get us a passport. I have been putting it off. I signed up for the SW credit card just so I could get the 50,000 bonus points. That should pay for two round trip tickets.

That's the way to do it  DH has the SWA card and I have the Frontier card. Hopefully it will work out like we planned. :genie:

We arrive the day after the MVMCP!! Oh well will still enjoy the lights and festivities.

I have already started making my FE gifts and ran out of material. I was in the groove! Gotta wait til next week to get more materials. I guess I am just trying to be prepared and don't want to stress about it later. Or maybe this is our first cruise and I am as excited as a kid on Christmas morning :rainbow:

Ooooooooo! :ssst: I wonder what you are making! :scratchin Now I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas! :figment:

I have started making a Fish Extender for my mom. I will post a pic when it's finished. (Assuming I can figure out how to post a pic)

I can't wait to see it!! I ordered a Star Wars FE because I am not talented enough to make one. Although I wished I would have waited because 31 has these pockets called oh snap and they would be perfect! I am trying to be crafty and make my gifts. One will be for everyone and one per cabin.
