DREAM SUITE! Wed Dec 3rd!

Very exciting. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Tell BYU hi for me when you see it next.

That is so cool. I am thrilled for you.

Wow! I am glad you didn't keep us in suspense any longer! And by the way, I will remind you that you weren't sure if your kids would take to a character meal or be creeped out by the characters - and see how much fun they had!!;) :goodvibes Even though it wasn't Goofy's, I knew you couldn't go wrong with character dining! Look at how happy they are!

So let me get this sequence of events straight again - you guys got off the ride, were approached by the Dream Squad, shown the introductory video and given the Fast Passes for everybody. Then you went back to your hotel, picked up some of your things, the Disney person came and picked you in in the Explorer, took you back to Disneyland, you were greeted by Queenie, you took the photos with everyone, you were given a free dinner at the Blue Bayou (was everything taken care of by Disney except for the tip?), you participated in the parade, and then stood in the Mayor's area to watch it, and then the next morning, I assume Disney took your bags back to your 'real' hotel, right?

So you were given another free meal by Disney at Minnie's? They gave you guys the Dream Suite, the Fast Passes for the entire 26 people, and two free meals? That is awesome! I had heard that they may give out one free meal with the Dream Suite or a free dessert buffet or something, but I didn't realize they were THAT generous! Wow! They are really handing out those dreams as the year comes to a close!

That is so great for all of you! Even though it may seem a bit anti-climactic to you now, how was the rest of your trip? You were at DLR for a long time. Did you have a good experience overall? Did you have lots of good food and get in some good shopping and take a lot of good pictures?

WOW!! Can I just tell you how jealous I am!!!:thumbsup2 (The smilie is pea green with envy.)

And you are right............us DISers totally get it!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I have a question for you. I have heard that after a certain hour, you have to leave the balcony and go into your room. Did you have that? I was just curious, cuz it would be fun to stay up late as long as possible and see all the action going on at night. And did someone come get you guys in the morning?

Geesh....................if it were me, I don't think I could even fall asleep! :hyper:

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! :goodvibes

Just read on the other thread - Disney gave you an engraved crystal bowl too, on top of everything else! That is wild! Two free meals, the Dream Suite, in-room chocolates, nifty bath products, a stocked fridge and a crystal bowl too? WOW! You hit the jackpot - or rather, Sophia hit the jackpot on her first trip, didn't she??:thumbsup2

Yep Sherry, you got it all right. The dining was cool. they said up to 75 bucks a person, well the kids aren't gonna eat that much! But we didn't have much time otherwise we woulda gotten an appetizer! Disney covered the tip too..we assume what we didn't 'eat' they gave as a tip.

Tinkermell- Ya we can't go out on balcony after park close cuz they have to 'secure' the room. So they lock it. But we can go in the courtyard in the middle all we want. The problem was it was a weeknight (the ONLY night without fireworks..go figure LOL) so the park closed at 8. So we weren't out there much. By the time you get back from parade it's like 7:30.

How amazing is that clock show and the fire :) I'm soo happy that you got video of all the amazing things that go on in the Dream Suite :)

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !

Too bad though, you couldn't enjoy fireworks. Maybe thats why you got a character breakfast ? Because, I do remember seeing a family with a buffet on the balcony watching out toward the sky when we were there in October.

Thank you for sharing your pics and everything with us. I know we all must be a bit jealous.

What an incredible experience! As I was reading this, I was showing DH the pictures and he was even semi-interested in what had happened! :goodvibes Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures and tell us all about your time in the dream suite. So glad that someone on the DIS could be a part of such an amazing dream!!!

Thank you for sharing the details of your awesome experience! I really enjoyed looking at the pictures and the videos!:cheer2: :yay:

You know, I wondered that too but when I asked what time fireworks are (this is at like 4:30) they said "oh! I dunno if there are any..let me find out" And there weren't, obviously. But they'd already told us about the character breakfast?

Really ? Wow, then I guess they are really giving right now in terms of the amount of freebies they give with dreams. Very cool !

Yeah I wondered that too. like..it's the end of the year and such.

I was just..wow'd. Every few min there was a new 'oh here ya go'

I mean, we got to keep the slippers..dh was most excited about the room pen ROFL

the room pen ? HAHA !! Thats hilarious ! Do you know when they are going to stop giving away dreams ?

You know what? There were no fireworks Wednesday night. I think the CMs knew that way before too. Around 5:00pm I overheard a CM telling a guest there were no fireworks that night (it was on the calendar though). It wasn't windy either. I wonder what happened?

Hmmm I dunno when they're quitting. I thought through the 31st?

and I know that on Thursday (I think) They started fireworks and I overheard that it was too foggy to see them so they quit. So maybe Wednesday was foggy too? I didn't pay attention. LOL

Hmm it's not like you had anything else you were thinking about or anything.

hahaha That day there was NO room for thinking. The conseirge that night said that they call the suite the dream 'not for sleeping' suite or something. haha
