Are the movies on the Dream on demand, as in you can choose a movie and start it at any time? Or are they the type that are scheduled to start at specified times?

There is an excellent selection of on-demand Disney movies and other Disney programming, such as non-movie Disney cartoons. I really wish they offered this at WDW resorts, too, but I get why they don't.

Plenty of films to choose from. You will not be disappointed. I agree that WDW should offer it as well.

Along with the Disney animated, pre-2018 Marvel movies, Disney Nature, and Disney Live Action, they also had a few recent to DVD movies. Rampage, Overboard, and about 4 or 5 others were on demand on our cruise last week on the Fantasy. We watched Rampage one of the 7 days...and by watched, I meant I took a nap while it was on...

I believe the On Demand movies were added to the Magic on her last dry dock.

Can confirm the Magic has On-Demand movies now. It was there when we sailed in May this year.

One of the best things about the On-demand movies (at least, to our family), is that when you turn it off mid-movie, it is bookmarked so that you can return to it later. This works great for the kids when they can only watch for a little while during breaks or when waiting on shower before dinner. Sometimes it takes us a few days to watch the entire movie, but its nice to have it to turn on right where you left off.
