DREAM Sail Date December 11th 2011

Is the second seating bad? Since this is our first cruise I have nothing to compare it to. Maybe it's kind of late to be eating?

Well I hope they fix your seating time since it was their mistake.

Hey - just noticed that your earlier post said Residence Inn... any particular reason why you changed your mind? Just wondering what the difference is between the two?

You are right- just checked my ressies and it is the Residence Inn.

We had late seating once before and lots of people love it but not us. We eat around 5pm at home so 8:30 is too late for us.

We usually eat around 6-630p so 830p is late for us as well but I guess we will have to deal with it. :upsidedow It will definately throw us off and I wish we could of got the early seating but apparently it was all taken up.

Maybe if I keep asking I'll get lucky and an early seating will open up. :wizard::wizard:

We eat early at home but have taken the second seating to allow room for folks with young children who really need that earlier time. That being said we get use to it and it is all about being on vacation and doing different things!

We are going to stay at Coronado Springs when we get off the cruise from the
15th-19th we may add one more day. Maybe we will see you on the ship and at the parks. We can't wait!!

We will all have to share pictures or something :lmao:

I'm so ready for a vacation. Everyone at work is talking about going on vacation and I have not been. :headache:

DH is deploying and will be back in Sept. and then another 3 months til the cruise.... MUST dig deep!!

DH won't be able to make the 1st week of our vacation so he will miss the cruise. On the bright side, we'll have more room in our cabin!

Personally I prefer that later seatings as they tend to be a little quieter. (by quieter read less young children. :) )

Don't get me wrong I love kids, but a 6 year old throwing a tantrum while I'm eating isn't my idea of fun. :)

I'm going to try and book a meal at both Palo's and Remy's though so I'll only be doing 2 evening meals at the main restraunts with any luck. :)

I understand completely!

We won't be doing Palo or Remy but I was thinking dh and I could feed the kids early one night and then have a dinner alone.

Has anyone ever done that?

I sent an e-mail to someone earlier on and have not heard anything? Does anyone else know. We are interested as well as two other cabins who on not on Dis but traveling with us.:confused3

I was beginning to wonder this too. I was hoping to know by the end of the summer so I could get going on things. So many cute ideas out there!

We always just give to anyone that has a FE hanging. Makes it easier than trying to only give to the few that sign up. There will be more FE hanging than people on this thread.

I just scrolled back through all the pages, and it looks like Rich was heading up the FE (see post #s 93 and 100), but it's been months since anything was posted on the thread about it?

We aren't participating in the FE, but I was under the impression that a lot of people like to plan for how many participants there are, what ages, etc.... If you have to wait until you're on the ship to see how many FEs are hanging, how in the world can you plan how much/what "stuff" to bring?

We just give per cabin not per person. If we gave per person it would probably make a difference.

I think we have decided to fly in the day before and stay at the Hyatt at MCO.
Has anyone stayed here before?
From what I have read this should make for an easy transfer the morning of the cruise.

I haven't but know several that have. Just let them know that you are on the Disney cruise and they will get your luggage and bring it to your room. They also get your luggage in the morning and you will see it in your room on the ship if you are doing DCL transfer.
