DREAM Sail Date December 11th 2011

I think I'm going to plan an Atlantis excursion. This is our first cruise and first time to bahamas. I guess we want to be able to say, "been there, done that".
:goodvibes

I don't think we will be participating in the FE. It does sound like it would be fun but I just can't commit right now.

Kids go back to school next week.

We have considered the Atlantis waterpark, but it is so hard to justify the extra expense. Have also considered the Hilton and doing a day pass for their beach. But most likely we will end up staying on the ship - maybe getting off to walk around for a little while, but that'll probably be it.

Show schedule - Disney Dreams - 1st night, Golden Mickeys - 2nd night, Villians - 3rd night

Do you have to make reservations to park your car at the port? When do you pay?

I have seen all but Disney Dreams. It is for the Dream ship only they said.
The shows have some characters and some singers.

I don't think you need ressies for the car.

oh okay. Kind of threw me off when I read on another thread that they had parking reservation confirmation.

You used to pay when you drove into the lot to park, but with the new parking garage I think I read that you pay on the way out. I should think that would make for congestion, though, at the exit.
You can use a credit card to pay, or cash.

Thanks for the information. This is the 1st time that I have driven.

We're driving as well but using an AVIS rental car. We're booking for pickup at Miami and drop off at Port Canaveral. Then doing the reverse for the end of the cruise.

We saw the Villains show in May this year with the atlantic crossing

You would think with the cruise getting closer and the ship seeming to be pretty full that more people would be joining on this thread. :confused3

I have to agree with you. Hopefully more folks for the FE. Our checkin date is Aug 28 and we are gold level so there a group for us earlier in August.
Sue

We're gold too. I am only wanting Palo brunch and parasailing at Castaway so I don't see a problem getting either. Hope I'm not wrong.

What does that mean when you say "check in date"?

Is that the date you have to make full payment? :confused3

I might have mentioned this before... can't remember... but we sailed on a KSF 4 day in Jan of '10, and it was pretty much full, and the cruise meet thread for that cruise was even more quiet than this one!

Would you guys that are gold please post back here about what port arrival time you get? Are you going to try to get the earliest one at 11:00?
