Dream Passes Test Cruise

Disney wonder is still Orange, no application yet for a test cruise.
If the SD cruise are to happen they'd have to do the test cruises from SD. Currently they have a berth agreement at Port Everglades through 8/20. So, I wouldn't expect an application for a test cruise for at least a month.

The first test cruise with DCL CM goes out tomorrow for a 3 night and then another sailing is right after that… I guess they want to see how everything will work out with people crisscrossing getting off and on in the same day 🤗… the Fantasy will do their simulation cruise and then at the end of the month will do a 3 then 4 night with CM…. I used to work for DCL so all the people I am friends with are posting about their upcoming cruises… wishing I still worked for DCL so I could be on it with them 🤣🤣🤣 BUT I am booked for Oct and most likely can’t wait that long so will probably book a 3 night in Aug 🤣

I figured they had to have passed the test cruise in order for DCL to say they are starting cruising as of 8/9? But hooray! :D

I think the delta variant and Florida’s record breaking infections may spoil the fun, but we’ll see.
I have to agree but I'm cautiously optimistic. News is moving rapidly. My husband and his partner
were suppose to fly to Florida Monday for a business conference and it was just canceled. No way I
could go but I wish those going best of luck and to stay safe.

Even before the pandemic, I was surprised that Business Conferences were still a thing. With "Go to Meeting" and now "Zoom", no reason to travel. I know some of the Professional Associations my co-workers belong to saw a jump in "attendance" in their annual conferences when they moved online last year. My company even kicked in $100 in Uber Eats credits in compensation for folks now being to run up huge food and bar tabs at those conventions!

This is true when you can take it. Dh works with corporate real estate and when there are disputes with
surveyors or land or a huge deal about to take place he like to fly down. Well except Fla right now all
parties agreed to postpone for a couple weeks.

Wonder if today's news about Florida's record infection rate will prompt revisions in DCL protocols for Florida cruises?
The variants and spikes are not unheard of and world wide they spike and calm and then spike again. At this point rationale says we are learning to deal with it, but when all the internet Drs start thinking, who knows!!!

I really think Florida cruises may have a problem. I think health concerns may push back on the political pressure to resume cruising.
