Dream Outside Restricted cabins help please.

I’m thinking of cancelling our Deluxe Family Oceanview (8B) and rebooking a GTY Oceanview Restricted, saving £2,300!

Does anyone know how these are restricted? Is it the rooms with the slanted porthole, or something else? It also says could be two small portholes, but I can’t seem to see any of these on the Dream.

If it is the slanted porthole rooms, do they still have a privacy curtain? Daughter is 18 now and don’t think she wants to be changing in front of us and it’s a pain to have to go into the bathroom, or out the room!

The term restricted only applies to the fare, and that there are no cancellations allowed and you cannot alter your reservation. It doesn’t apply to any sort of restrictions to the room itself, like a limited view. It is possible that you could be assigned one of the rooms with the slanted window. I do not know what it does have privacy curtains, or not, but I’m sure others have that information.

We stayed in a forward cabin on the dream that had a slanted window and it did have a privacy curtain!

you Have no choice of cabin assignment. No change of room. We’ve done restricted many times and have been satisfied with our assignment. On the Dream you often will be assigned deck 2 in a 9B. It’s the section under the Atrium. I’ve stayed there often. my fear is the forward slanted wall/window. But I continue to book these restricted rates. if you hate your assignment you can go to the desk in the terminal and ask how much it cost to upgrade your room. its Not free, but you could see what they will offer you.

We have done restricted rooms several times and always got a great cabin. We actually recently booked an OGT for 3 cabins and just got our cabin assignments....Deck 2 with 2 of the cabins with interior connecting doors. This is on the Fantasy.

You are correct there are no 2 small porthole rooms on the Dream. They are only on Deck 1 of the Magic/Wonder.
