Dream out of Miami

We are sailing on the Dream out of Miami this summer with one day pre-cruise and 2 nights post cruise.

I would love any suggestions anyone might have. I have Marriott Bonvoy points but we are willing to stay at other places.

We will arrive at 11 am the morning before the cruise and fly out at 11 two days after the cruise. We are not planning on having a car. Would love to stay South Beach post cruise.

In January 2020, we stayed at the Intercontinental Miami for 2 nights pre-cruise. It's close to the port (you can see the port if you have a bayview room) and a 10-15 walk to the Bayside Marketplace (open air mall).

We took a Lyft to the port and I think it was about $20.

If you do a search for Miami hotels, you will find some threads. There is not much, I know because I looked! We’re driving and decided to stay the night before at WDW, so I can’t help!

We are cruising out of Miami and I am currently knee-deep in hotel research. We are there 3 nights pre-cruise, I think we will do 2 nights at Hilton Cabana on the beach and then move to YVR at the port the night before our cruise (because for some reason the Hilton Cabana doubles in price that night). I am having just a bit of sticker shock at how expensive things are !

I just did a pre cruise night in Miami and was at the Ritz Carlton South Beach (Marriott property). I paid cash and it was not up to the quality you would want or expect from a St. Regis and the beach is terribly crowded and has a lot of trash and bad smells. I would suggest you try to stay at Fisher Island instead of on Miami Beach.
