Dream: May 22, 2011

Personally, I don't believe you need to provide cake for 40 people. I would think that something smaller for a celebration for the birthday boy's would be quite acceptable. After all everyone may not be "available" later in the evening, or even eat cake (yeah, right;)). If you had it left over, what would you do with it? And that could be quite an expense. But it is totally up to you.

There I go with the overly protective/intrusive/opinionated MOM in me!!!! I drive my DD nuts with that.
Can''t help it ;)

I was going to bring along a couple of bags of chips and pretzels from our local company just to have as munchies for anyone who drops by.

Whatever you decide, we'll be at the hotel at about noon time, so if you need anything picked up, I'm available.

Its all good! I just dont want anyone to feel left out! I might have to take you up on the offer of "pick up service" if I can get it paid for over the phone. That way, I dont have to feel a bit rushed to get from MCO to the hotel!
I will definatly let you know what I finally decide to do!
Did we ever establish a cell phone list? I remember I pmd someone my number (either JQ or HD) but I cant remember who has it! LOL I do want to be able to let someone know we landed.......

Good morning fellow cruisers. Sorry to be a pain, but would it be possible for me to switch my day to Day 3 Castaway since it's not full yet? I was just going through my gifts and realized that some were for CC day and Pirate Night, so I should probably deliver them first thing on Day 3. Is this okay?

Good afternoon, everyone!

My apologies if this has been resolved recently - I've been out of the loop for awhile, and haven't had a chance to catch up on postings - but I vaguely remember there being discussions before about the possibility of some of the kids in our group trying to get together so that they have friends their age to play with that they "know".

Am I remembering that correctly? Did anything come of that? I was talking with my sister (Kara), who was interested in the idea of having her sons (10 and 8) have others their age that they can hang out with, and my wife and I like the idea for our two kids (6 and 4), as well.

Are there any kids out there that are looking for some playmates?

Hope everyone is doing well!

Ryan

Hello!
My son is called Luke aged 10
He is 11 this October and as we have already done a cruise before and he is very mature for his age he is hoping that he may be allowed to go to the EDGE club but as you have a son aged 10 also I thought I would introduce anyhow!
Tracey from UK!

i have a daughter who is 6, although she about the size and mentality of an older child problably around 8 or so. also, are others planning on bringing things to snack on at the pool at the hotel night before. if so i would like to stop and pick up something simple too.

Hi Tracey,

I'm not sure which club Joshua (my nephew) was planning on attending, but I know that my sister plans to let him have the ability to check himself in and out (so long as he has a wave phone with him), since this will be our third Disney cruise, and he is quite mature for his age. I will bring her (and the kids) to our meet so that they can say hi.

See everyone in a few weeks!

My boys (7 and 4) are very excited for the kids clubs, and would very much love some playmates! My oldest is very outgoing and will strike up a conversation with anyone, while his little brother is the shy one and relies on his brother to "break the ice" for him.

Awesome. I'm sure that my nephew Gabriel (8), my son Teddy (6), and my daughter Ellie (4) will get along swimmingly with your boys. :)

Would anyone object to us getting the kids together for a meet-and-greet when the adults meet up on Sunday, or should we schedule something separate so that it doesn't get too crazy?

I think having all the kids meet during the adult meet will really be the best option. Chance will be turning 9 on the CC Day.
Happy Easter everyone! Getting excited to see ya'll in a couple of short weeks!

Happy Easter to everyone also. Hope you had a beautiful day. Weather was almost perfect here in central PA.

I cooked at noon time today, so the rest of the day is for relaxing and eating leftovers.:thumbsup2

:goodvibes Just today realized I now have the feeling of anticipation/anxiousness(in a good way) about the cruise. Love that feeling. 25 days from today, we depart.:dance3:

We are cruising on the May 22nd 4 night Dream with me - DM, DH and two DS's (ages 11 and 7). We have been once on the Wonder when oldest was 2 1/2 so we are so looking forward to the new ship. We are also DVC members and will stay at Bay Lake Towers after the cruise. Let the countdown begin.

Got my docs today, yippee! :cool1: Really makes it seem real - and close! Those of you who booked through TA's and are waiting for your docs, keep checking your mail, you should have them any day!

I got so excited by the docs that I hauled out my laminator and magnetic paper and started working on our door decorations ;)
