Dream: May 22, 2011

We plan on booking 3 "dummy" cruises while on board. Even though we are doing a B2B with this cruise being the second part, my TA told me not to book any cruises until the second part of our B2B since we will then be CC club members and would then get the "perks".!!

What are the perks? OBC???

This will be an FE weekend for us!!! Gotta get ready the time is getting close!!!

JIM , we still have the May 19th eastern cruise, we traded the Sept. 25, 2011 ,a 4 day Dream cruise.I carried over our deposit and our 10% discount and all.I think the on board credit is 275.00 or more on the Hawaii cruise, got to find out yet.............can I talk you and P. I. to come with us??? Next month on our cruise you guys can book on board and get those perks.

We are contemplating booking while onboard although it may just be a "dummy" cruise. Not sure if we could handle 15 days. Might have to try a 5 or 7 day first. Eventually we want to do a Med cruise. Would love to see Italy.

Tracey, you can deliver on Nassau day, that's fine. We have 21 cabins so one day must have 6 scheduled.

M J 98....got a question, how much is the on board credit on the 15 day Hawaii cruise?....thanks Dear.

Are you Gold or Platinum CC? I'll check it out!

The Hawaiian cruise is SOLD OUT right now! I'll be checking back for people on Monday, because I have a feeling a lot of courtesy holds will drop away when people decide not to put down a deposit. I have a client sailing on the Dream on the May 5 that are hoping to get the discount an OBC, so we have our fingers crossed that something will be open then. I'm not so sure! I told them to book a dummy and I'll keep checking for Hawaii openings.

I really wish I could be on that one, but I can't pull the kiddies out of school for 2 weeks and can't find anyone crazy enough to stay with them that long :lmao:

The CM I just spoke to said $275, but I have to put a disclaimer on that - she at first had no idea what I was talking about and sounded a little clueless about the onboard re-booking perks. She put me on hold to inquire, and came back with the number $275. You know how some of the phone CM's can be totally clueless and your average DISer knows more than they do :lmao: I have had some CM's on the phone tell me things about WDW that are so far from the truth I have asked to speak to a supervisor to say "***?" :rotfl:

I'll ask again whenever I have to call in to DCL and see what others tell me!! The only CM's I trust as law are the ones onboard actually doing the re-bookings.

Help Please!!!

Ok, First of all I am NOT a crafty person at ALL. So my FE gifts are store bought!!!

My question is to all of you vets is can I put my FE gifts in my checked bags if they are sample bottles of booze? Or do I have to carry them on??

Thanks for your help!!

!!!

The perks are: the OBC, on board credit to spend for what ever you want.I don't know how much.Silver CC gets some , Gold CC gets a little more and Platium gets the most. They just changed the "tier"level of the amount of the perks, and of coarce your 7 day cruises is more than your 3 or 4 day cruises don't know how much..And while booking on board you get a 10 % discount on all that are traveling in your party. It cost so much, every little bit helps. :thumbsup2

Hahaha, the DIS didn't like my acronym for "what the h ee double hockey sticks" :lmao:

U- Go - GIRL! 4-gold cc mem.... isn't that 275$ the same amount on a 7 day cruise? Seems like it should be more, seeing it is 15 days. The tip money for 1 waiter for 15 days will be that amount....don"t-U-think?

You get a 10% discount, you only have to put down a 10% deposit instead of 20%, and you get an OBC based on the number of nights the cruise is (often upwards of $100-200).

I agree it seems low, which is why I didn't have 100% confidence in the CM!! Unless DCL is getting cheap on us :lmao:

Ooo, tough one... Are you flying? You'll have to check them on the plane, because you can't carry on that much liquor. My guess is that DCL may make you carry them on, because that's their normal policy on alcohol. I've heard people on the DIS say they got away with checking booze, but you may not want to risk it. I think your best bet is to ask at the port, because those are the folks in the know!

No flying, we live about an hour from the port. I just filled up one carryon size piece of luggage with FE gifts!!! (2 cruises) I think just to be safe, I will carry it on. I REALLY don't want to lose my FE gifts, I would feel horrible!!

Tracykim,

I'm sure if you carry them on you will be fine. I know our son Mark had no problems with his rolling cooler of adult beverages when he sailed the wonder last April for his 21st birthday.

Worked so well, we'll be bringing it this trip!

Now we will have TWO carry ons with adult beverages!!!

On a side note. While at the Albertsons Liquor store to purchase all of these adult beverages, I was talking to the lady behind the counter and she asked what I was doing with the 41 samples bottles I was buying. So I told her about the FE exchange and she said "Disney doesn't allow drinking on their cruises, they don't even serve alcohol on their cruises." :scared1: Me being the DCL virgin asked her if she knew this from experience? She said "No, I have never been on a DCL cruise, but everyone knows that Disney doesn't allow drinking in the parks or on their ships."

GEEZ!!!! Some people make me embarrased to be a Floridian. (Born and raised) I guess she has never heard of Epcot!!!! :dance3:

Holy Cow! We (Albertsons) have banner stores in Florida? News to me! LOL It totally does NOT suprise me that the salesperson is clueless. I have been in charge of those idiots and it made me bat (explitive) crazy! They didnt pay me enough to be in charge any more!
