Hi Folks...

Just back from the 3 nights on the Dreams and I want to temper expectations.

The internet connection on the ship can be great for 5 minutes and terrible for 8 hours.

John was able to log in occasionally and sitting right next to him...I was never able to get logged in.

It was an exercise in frustration....and I met the guy in charge of internet for the ship. Even he couldnt get us logged in.

I'm just letting you know so that if we dont hear from the folks on board during the sailing....you'll have the reason why.

I'm going to guess (just a guess mind you) that they are still trying to work some things out in regards to connectivity. As more voyages take place and as time passes they'll be able to tweak some of their network equipment, or massage some of their settings to stablize bandwidth and connectivity on the ship.

Think Traffic Shaping......HEY MIKE HOLLAND....Did you hear that.....I said "TRAFFIC SHAPING!" :rotfl:

I don't understand how they can broadcast live TV shows (ABC and Univision) from Castaway Cay, but yet they can't offer a good internet connection.

They are using up all the connection. I know on Monday am our local radio hosts broadcast live from the dream, which surprised me as we are not a huge important city.

I wish I was on the maiden voyage. haha I want those exclusive vinylmations! LOL

People were lining up after the lifejacket drill to get them. I saw a photo of the line after the sail away party. The store still wasn't open yet.

Can't imagine going on that cruise and waiting in line right away. Especially after standing in the terminal to get in with thousands of your closests friends. I know my one friend waited in line 95 minutes to get into the terminal.
