Welcome aboard, kkaboo3, who will be traveling with you? For example, my family is me, DH (Disney/Darling/Dear Husband), DD18 (Disney Daughter, who will be age 18 on the cruise ... and her best friend age 17), DS9 (Disney Son, who will be age 9 on the cruise). This helps people plan the Fish Extender gifts to be gender/age appropriate.

Mahalo, this is so cool and sorry if I'm not responding in the right place....still getting the hang of this. My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary....... far from home (Hawaii) but so happy and excited!

Me45, DH45, DS25 and DD22

I do have other family members traveling, will check with them if they want to participate and post info.

We will be on this cruise too! This is cruise #4 for DH and I (3rd on the Dream), and this time my parents will be coming with us. I am so excited that they get to come too!
We may also be doing a WDW visit with extended family, but no definite plans yet.

Welcome. I hope you and your family will enjoy your first Disney cruise! I'm pretty sure you will!

Welcome Sugarnut! You will absolutely LOVE the cruise. Continue reading the boards for more info. And honestly, just by reading them, you'll get more and more excited for the cruise.

Thank you!! I know we will love it! I've done a lot of reading and you're right, it's getting me more and more excited! Forgot to mention, we'll be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary as well as my BIG 4-0!! Had to do it right- the Disney way!! :)

YAY glad to see more fellow cruisers joining up! And sugarnut glad to see you have a DS8, Nanny and I have 9 yr old boys (mine will turn 9 the end of December so he will be a young 9). I really want to get him connected with a friend so Mommy can get some relaxation time, he is a big time Momma's boy and can be somewhat high maintenance at times!!!!!!

That sounds great lauraDar! Mine will actually be 8 in February, but he's going on 16. ha!! He is just like your's.....definitely a Mama's boy and we're not sure how much "alone" time we will get. We showed him a YouTube video last night of the wave phones to reassure him....hoping for some relaxation time for sure to myself/ourselves, even if just a little! :)

Moms, don't worry about your sons. I have an only child (son) and although he is and was pretty friendly and outgoing, he would always stick by my side. However, once we got onto the ship and we visitied 'his club'... he spent a lot of time there. Many times my DH or I would have to convince him it was time to leave. He really enjoyed it and made a lot of friends. I loved seeing the kids 'high-five' each other in the corridors or dining rooms, or on deck, or...
So, don't worry. He will probably enjoy it as much as my son did or more. There is so much for him to do, he will NOT be bored. And, may I add, this was on the Wonder. So, they didn't have all the hi-tech and more modern things as the Dream does. I believe you will have plenty of time to relax and 'be on your own', too. Remember, nobody does it as Disney does.

My dd2 never went anywhere without us. We even took her out of preschool because after nine months of crying all day we decided she wasn't going to be okay. Well she went on her second cruise at 4 and loved every moment of the kids club.. we begged her to come eat with us... next cruise was the same. Disney does it right...

Sounds like my DS is going to have a fabulous time checking out the kids clubs. Thanks for sharing your encouraging stories. :)

We are SO excited, can't hardly stand it. Decided we will probably stay in Orlando after the cruise for a few days just to continue the "magic". :thumbsup2

If anyone has a Party City near them, check them out for stuff for pirate night. I saw cute stuff on their website......temporary tattoos, eye patch, etc.
