Dream July 19, 2011 - 5 Night Bahamas!

So where is everyone? Busy creating FE gifts and packing?? Only 17 days until we leave. My FE's are almost done, packing has to wait a couple of weeks. I usually set out the suitcases in the spare bedroom but that room is going to be used for the next couple of weekends. We have our great niece & nephew staying with us the next 2 weekends while their mom travels for work. I've never waited until the weekend before we leave to start packing

we are here.. been busy planning and celebrating DD 12 th b day party!! working on FE, counting the days down, thinking of beginning to pack... we have transitioned from "birthday" mode to "Dream" mode as of today!! ( ohh but i have 4 th of july, a week of call, and my DH bday to keep the weeks from draggggging by!)

I'm here, not very active on the thread though. SUPER excited; I may in fact be more excited than my kids. Got all of our documents and am working on finishing up our FE gifts!

I didn't know about this board until today. Our family of five is going on this cruise. This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise, and we're so excited to be on the Dream! We are traveling with extended family that has never experienced a cruise before, so I'm glad they'll get to have the Disney experience.

This is a neat way to find out who else is cruising and from what part of the country. Where is everyone coming from?

Yay! We have a long flight then, your family and ours, compared to those on the East Coast. Have you been on a Disney cruise before? This will be our first time on the Dream (of course) but we have cruised with Disney two times before. So much fun!

Yes, getting to Orlando (and back) will be an adventure for us. This will be our 2nd Disney Cruise!

Is anyone else trying the port excursions? We're going to try the catamaran and snorkel trip in Nassau. Will anyone else be on that? My sister's family just added it tonight too, so it doesn't seem to be very crowded. My sister was really torn - she was thinking she could just ride the Aqua Duck as much as she wanted rather than do an excursion while everyone else was off the ship

Getting close everyone!!! Now, I tried to count the number of rooms for FE's.
I think I counted 30. Does that sound right? I just want to make sure we have enough-plus a few more just in case. We usually do one per room.
Do we just print the list and deliver when we want too? I can't exactly remember from last time. Thanks!

Hello All,

I just stumbled across this list and thought I would say hello. We are a family of 3 from Vermont. We are going to the Poly for 5 days, then on to the cruise. This will be our first Disney cruise and we are all very excited.

I found out we got assigned to a 8A that is HA. I am a little bummed that we don't get a full bath (no tub & no split), but the extra space and double portholes are a plus.

It's probably late to ask but does anyone ever share a cabana? With only 3 of us it didn't seem to make sense, but it would have been great to share with another family.

Hello Brent! We stumbled onto this site not too long ago as well. We missed the cutoff date for fish extenders (a sort of gifting concept for participants), so we're just here getting excited about our trip like everyone else.

We'll be staying again at the Polynesian after our cruise! And, this is our 3rd Disney cruise. You are going to LOVE it.

You know, all the Cabanas on Castaway Cay were completely booked when I got onto the site, so I imagine it's mostly the platinum cruisers and Concierge level folks who got those. Seems like a lot of money for one day to us, though. I think you'll enjoy just getting a feel for the island, and then perhaps on future cruises you might get a jump on renting one of them.

Have a great trip down from Vermont and hope this group does end up having some sort of meet and greet!

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to extend a quick thank you to everyone that put together our fish extender event and the facebook page. They have really added to the excitement of our trip! We leave this Monday for the Polynesian for 8 nights prior to the cruise. My DW is busy packing everything we own (thank goodness for the Disney Magical Express - taxis could not hold all this stuff).

Hello Allison Family,
Wishing you all a safe and fun trip to the Polynesian before the cruise. Eight days - that's awesome! Plenty of time to enjoy the parks. Have you been to WDW before? It's quite a trek for us CA folks.

We'll only have a few days after the cruise for WDW, but we'll still have a great time!

I never found any Facebook page. I think a few of us looked for it, even though we can't participate in the FE.

Anyway, have a great time! And enjoy the cruise as well!
