Dream Fastpasses

Probably a silly question but i keep hearing about the dream fastpasses and i thought i understood it but now that i think about it, i have no idea what they are and am really confused. I was wondering if one of you lovely dis-ers could possibly explain it to me better than i thought i understood it

We won them at Epcot. You might see some people with blue plastic badges around their necks. the ones we had had six little plastic tags around the edges that snap off for the 6 fastpass rides. When you wish to go on the ride you snap the tag for that ride off and present it to the CM. and you feel very special

Do they really give out 200+ of these per day?

probably. our whole boatload at maelstrom got them and we heard cheering ahead of us which was the previous boat getting them too. i don't know how many boats before that got them. it's not like they are handing out one or two at a time (but maybe they do also..) .. tons of people were getting them at once when we got ours.

I think they give out 100 or more at a time. We went in March and it was a little chilly. We were going to go on BTMR but the line was ovver 90 minutes long and the fast pass was about the same wait. So we got a Fastpass and went on Splash Mountain even though it was probably too cold. As we go off there were two Dream Team members with 2 duffle bags full of Dream Fastpasses. We each got one and it really made our day. Between using regular fastpasses and the dream fastpasses we didn't wait more than 20 minutes for any ride. We even rode Space Mountain a total of 4 times with a total wait of just over 10 minutes. If you use these right I really think they can be one of the best prizes. Like I said they saved us over 3 or 4 hours of waiting in lines throughout the day and we got to go on everythign we wanted even though it was spring break for schools.
