For those that have one these...

do you have to use the fastpasses on the day you win them or could you use them throughout your trip?

They are dated, for the day that you receive them. I have to say that we did use tear off the tabs and used it for Soarin' the very next day, the CM did not even check them.

Dale Jr is correct.
The date you receive them is printed on them. But I agree that when we used them, the CM's did not really look at the date. I don't think you would be turned away if you used them within a day or two. They do make you feel special all day.:goodvibes

How do you get these? Is this just something random that the people that work there hand out?

We got ours the 2nd to last day we were there early in the morning, dh & I were arguing over which way to get to Tomorrowland since we were standing at the castle, I kept saying I saw a sign on the tunnel that goes there and after he gave in we went that way. There were 2 dream squad cms just standing on the bridge handing out dream fast passes and we got some, not especially fancy but sure did make our day, we felt so special hehe, even though almost everything was less than a 20 minute wait for most of the day because it was cloudy and icky looking  I guess it's all about timing

We got some Dream Fastpasses in the morning after riding Buzz Lightyear in December. It was our first day in the park and we used them for the remaining two days we had in the park. It was really fun, especially since it got crowded the last day we were there. No one checks the date. We were there with my family (14 of us). the Dream Team ran out of the passes so three of us didn't get them, but they were very accomodating and got them for the rest of our group so we could all use them together. It was great!

They generally give these out within a few hours of the park opening. One of the best ways to get one is to be in a remote area of the park where not too many people pass through.

On two occasions we got these passes while walking on the path that leads between Fantasyland over towards Big Thunder Mountain. There is a Cast Member entrance on that path. Look for employees holding black bags over their shoulder. They just give them out to people passing by.

Another good way to find where they are handing them out is to keep your eyes opening in the morning. If you see people who have them on, ask them where they got them. Often times it can take 15-20 minutes for them to distribute in that location ... giving you time to head over and get some for you.

Well I have recently seen discussion elsewhere that the current dream fastpasses are UNdated. :confused3

Welcome to the Disboards Disneylandguru. :goodvibes

Just curious why you are pulling up threads that are almost a year old to answer questions that have clearly already been answered? :confused3

You might want to just roam through the first couple pages on this board to see some more recent topics. :thumbsup2

they are still dated. however there are reports that CMs are not supposed to restrict their use to that particular date, but subsequent reports haven't been as rosey

We won ours in January and used them this past week. I even asked the CMs working the Fastpass lines and they all said it was fine.
