Attached are 4 out of the 5 navigators from our Dream Double Dip June 24 - 29th. Somehow I missed taking a picture of the final day (sea day) navigator.

This was our 4th Disney cruise [previously on Fantasy (2x) and Wonder (1x)] and first one with just our immediate family. We have 3 boys, ages 10, 6 and almost 3. Our almost 3 year old used the nursery one time so we could enjoy a dinner at Palo. He is a crier, so we didn't want to subject ourselves to that on more than one occasion! Our older boys love the club and also enjoyed some freedom around the ship - we gave our 10 year old an old phone of ours, in a waterproof case, that he wore on a lanyard and communicated to us via the DCL app. They thought it was so cool to go play mid ship detective, mini golf, etc on their own! They even confessed every time they got an ice cream:)

Not planning to do a full trip report - but feel free to ask me any questions! We had so much fun and are sad to be back to reality!

My kids are now 18, 20 and 22 and they still love getting "free" ice cream.

Who was the captain? And who was the Cruise Director?

Who was the captain? And who was the Cruise Director?

Haha, funny you should ask this question, as there is a recent thread about how important is the captain/cruise director and I was in the camp of "I rarely notice or pay attention!" I do know the cruise director's name was Lee (male), as I remember his name from the onboard announcements. We went to one show (BatB), which was the only time we saw him. He seemed nice, fairly subdued, and told the typical cruise jokes:)

I have no idea the captain's name! According to another website it was Robert Olmer, but I truly have no idea!

Of note, I cruised a lot as a child with my family on other cruise lines and I totally remember the cruise directors having a larger than life presence and being very memorable (either in a good, bad or funny way!). Maybe this is "old school" or Disney is different or we don't do the DCL activities in which we would have more interaction with the director. I definitely don't "miss" having the cruise director in my face:)
