I have an idea of what i would love for my disney wedding. Buti would love some new interesting ideas or thoughts. I wont be getting married for at least 1 year or 2 but its always fun to wish upon a star.

Here is my sample plan.

Leave california, LA tuesday night, fy all night get to florida wed morning. Have waiting for guests packages with things pertaining to the wedding.

Next we would have a character breakfast at whichever park we decided to visit for the day.

The day of the wedding I would have an initimate wedding. Maybe sometime around 1 or 2. This would be on a wed. Not sure at which location. Next we would all hhead over to the Grand Floridian for dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I would like to have randy chapman take pictures. I think it would be so cool to have pictures with the charcters without the extra costs. After wards we would all head over to pleasure island to party the night away.

Any other ideas or insight would be awesome. Also if you think this is doable with a 7000 budget with also staying for a honeymoon for another 5 nights. staying at a moderate resort with the premium add on. I would like to go during the value season during december.

Is the wedding the day you check in after flying all night? If so, you may be too tired to have a good time. Would it be possible to fly in on Monday instead? The rest of the plan sound great tho. HTH.

Turtle51, congratulations on your upcoming marriage. I wish you much happiness.

Your plans sound great. My only concern is about Randy Chapman and group photographs at a character meal. You would need to verify with him if what you want to do is allowable. I believe he has some sort of contract with Disney regarding the taking of photographs while on Disney property (he is one of the third-party vendors who photograph Fairy Tale Weddings). As a professional, he honors Disney's rules. Make sure to verify things with him first so as to not jeopardize his relationship with Disney.

You have to remember that the characters at a character meal are for the enjoyment of all of the patrons at that meal. You can't do anything that would hamper that. Disney is very sensitive to issues where "show" is compromised in any way. I was warned of that when I was planning one of my private functions last year. Disney explained things to me loud and clear. I was impressed by how much they took every guest's need into consideration. I don't mean to scare you off, I just want you to be aware of what you may run into if you try to circumvent any of Disney's rules.

As to your wedding timeline, I live on the West Coast and have flown via L.A. a few times. The flight between L.A. and Orlando is a nice one. However, arriving early in the morning on the day of your wedding is very chance-y. I would definitely fly out on Monday so as not to worry about something going wrong at the last minute weather-wise or airplane-wise. You definitely do not want to miss or be late to your own Fairy Tale Wedding.

When I had my FTW vow renewal last October, both my husband's & daughter's plane, and then my son's plane, were delayed by hours & hours. My husband & daughter were flying in several days before the vow renewal so I wasn't as concerned about their arrival. However, my son was flying out (via a connecting flight through L.A.) on Monday night for an arrival on Tuesday morning. I was very worried that something would happen that would push his arrival into Wednesday morning (and that almost happened). My greatest fear was going through with my 20th wedding anniversary's vow renewal on Wednesday without my favorite guy in attendance. Luckily, that didn't happen. But if I had to do it all over again, I would have had him fly out on Sunday night. So, my suggestion to you is, do fly out on Monday if at all possible (and on Sunday if you can swing it).

Again, congratulations on your future marriage. I wish you much happiness.
