WOW! This was our first Disney cruise (2 Carnival cruises) and I have seen the light.....we had a magical time on Disney's Dream. And yes we re-booked another trip while on board.....it was that much fun!
The cabin (8164) was awesome, the food for the most part was great, and the service was outstanding. The only thing I would like to see change is dinner table service in Cabanas, I think it should be buffet style, several nights we didn't feel like taking 2 hours for dinner and there was no other option to dine without dressing and sitting with service....JMO. We did the Aquaduck both day and night without much wait. The live shows were amazing, we saw Villains, The Golden Mickeys and Believe, IMO Villains was the best. The island was awesome, considering all the work that goes into setting up this island for the day....trust me we watched the staff unload in the a.m. and reload in the p.m., it's a finely tuned system and they do it in a matter of about a 1/2 hour.
OK, on to the 5 day double dip Navigators....our schedule to dine was as follows: 1st day Animators Palace, 2nd and 3rd day (Pirate Night) Enchanted Garden, 4th day Royal Palace, 5th and final day Animators Palace. So, the two repeats are actually different menus due to special events (Pirates Night and Farewell Dinner). Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides made it's debut on Pirates Night and played again the following day....Mars needs Moms, Prom, and Gnomeo and Juliet also played in the theaters. The first night we did the detective agency, I think we were the first to do it, it is a must do! The animations in the 'paintings' are amazing....we had a great time locating the pictures to get the clues, it actually helped us to get acclimated to the ships layout.
My DD (8 years old) had a blast in the Oceaneers Club and Lab, she went every day or night except the last day (she wanted to spend every minute with Mom and Dad). The area is huge and there are plenty of club counselors to assist with activities, we felt very safe leaving her there.
I will post the Navigators on Monday (they are a little beaten up because I carried them everywhere) when I have access to a scanner...and will answer any questions you may have on the double dip cruise. It truly was an amazing experience, anyone that complains about the food or service is just too picky with ridiculous expectations for a cruise. More later.....
