Dream Concierge

Now that you have booked concierge, you can add your dining rotation to your list of requests when you are 125 days from sail date.
They will take requests for dining rotation preference before 125. I did that at like 160 or so but i called the main DCL number in an attempt to get the shoreside concierge info and a nice representative told me what rotations i could choose from and had no problem putting that on my reservation. I also purchased a spa pass at that time.

If you are concierge you can request a specific dining rotation. Our Pirate night is on nassau day which is day 3. I'm not saying this is how yours is, but i could see what night pirate night was on before checking in. It shows up when you go look at your itinerary online.

If you don't want AP then I would suggest AERR. I requested ERAA because i do not want Royal Palace and I have a daughter who wants to be in AP on pirate night and a regular night. We scheduled Remy for the second night because I didn't want to fight to get back to the room and get ready after a day at port.

If pirate night does end up being night 3, would I be better off with ERAA and doing Palo on night 3? And typing this sentence has made me realize I keep forgetting it's four nights, five days. I've been thinking it's a four day trip and only three dinners to think about. Whenever I see the "ERAA" I keep thinking the fourth (double) letter refers to breakfast on disembarkation day. Ok, so the AERR suggestion makes more sense now, derp. :)

I guess I'll state my reason for trying to avoid AP, maybe you guys can tell me if I'm wrong. It seems like the kiddie-est of the three venues, and though I have the late seating I've been assuming it'll be the most hectic and loud of the venues, especially on night one. Whereas with pirate night I'm just trying to avoid the menu. :)

Try this, just for fun...
Go to My Planning Center
Login to your reservation
Go to My Cruise Activities

See if it won't show you the dates of the cruise and the activities on each day
image_zpsxdxcimag.jpg

The dates should only have "ship activities" for you as you aren't checked in yet. But if you click on each of those days "view activities" it should say what the ship activities are, e.g. the ship activity on day 1 is the sail away party.

If it doesn't say it yet, keep checking back. I can't remember when I noticed these were added, but it was WELL in advance of any checkin dates. That will help you choose a dining rotation to request.

This is all I get so far, I assumed it would stay blank till my "open" date, good to know that's not the case.

Ok, I assumed the same thing. I found it once while playing around. Try going up and hovering over the "planning center" then when it drops down a menu, click on "my cruise activities" from there instead .... i "accidentally" found it around November or so and we sail in May

I *think* that's where I naviagted to it from this time (I have the same kind of mind, heh), but it made me log in again from scratch. I'll poke at it some tomorrow from my desktop.

oh i definitely didn't find it from my phone. i think i was on my iPad if not my macbook. yes, try, i guarantee that i saw those added 6 months in advance of sail date at least. if the pirate night is always the same on same itineraries then i would bet there's a 98% chance you have the same pirate night i do which is the 3rd night (nassau). it's odd because my gf sailed on a different itinerary but 4 night dream last year and she remembered her pirate night also being on nassau day, so maybe that's how they choose it?

let me know what you find and i will definitely report back to you after our cruise in may with any answers to any questions you may have!

Thanks, I'll be holding you to that. :) I'm at about 187 days out, maybe 180 will be a magic number. Will report back.

Have to give you full credit here. I tried sneaking up on it from my MacBook (I access the Disney site from lots of diff. devices, but usually an iPad), and clicking the top dropdown to get to My Cruise Activities. First it made me put in my DOB as usual, then I repeated the steps. Now I have the day-by-day card view, which shows "Pirate Deck Party" on day 3, which is Nassau. The only other day with a "Ship Activity" listed is the Sail Away party on day 1. But yeah, I was getting nada from the other Cruise Activities link till now, so thanks.

Hi.
I am sailing on September 14. Cashe, what did you do before your 125 days out? Request a dining rotation?
I guess I should just do that with my TA and then follow up again with the concierge (I did that
on our Dream NYE cruise but wasn't sailing concierge so just requested, and received, through TA).

I'm only sailing with my mom, since we are leaving the family at home, and thinking only doing Palos and Remys for all four nights
but would still like to have a requested rotation in case we decide to skip one of the specialties one night.

How do I find out exactly when the date is that I can e-mail concierge? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hi! I'm not Cashe but I emailed them at the email listed a few posts up. Just a quick email, asking about the procedure for requests. They got right back to me with the exact dates for me to send in my requests. :-)

I called the main number looking to get info on how to get ahold of shoreside concierge and a nice lady helped me with dining rotation (she wasn't concierge) and then gave me the info to get a hold of concierge. it may have been dumb luck on that one too.

I booked my first cruise concierge for sept 19th on Fantasy. When I do Disney, I'm always concierge so might as well be on a ship! I'm looking forward to it, a little nervous because I have a cruise ship panic thing going on....but I'm going to go! Not sure what to do from here, I do want it a bit loose, no 100% commitments on to much....I do know I want to chill....tan....swim and hit the spa. We are on 2nd dining. Not sure if a cabana is needed....any advice will be appricated. ⚓⚓⚓

We chose the 1 bedroom for that exact reason; my husband has a fear of cruise ships. He wanted the biggest room he could get for the money in case he freaked out and wanted to stay in the room. LOL.

We chose a cabana because:
1. I may or may not be that mobile by May. I've had a lot of surgeries on my leg.
2. We are pseudo anti social and always do cabanas in Vegas or Maui b/c my husband likes having a place to relax w/out dealing with people. LOL.
3. my daughter is whiter than olaf. I like having shaded areas for her to come in and cool off and get out of the sun.

I would definitely get one if there was a restroom in them. I too like to be...in less crowds, hence concerige, I tend to keep to myself. I do not do shade, I like to zone out in a quite area, will do adult beach. I am in need of two knee replacements...I can't walk! So not sure if much walking on CC. Thanks for any and all info!

i WISH there were a restroom in them! I don't think i've ever been in a cabana (vegas or FS Maui) that has a restroom. it is a pretty long walk from our cabana to the restrooms. I plan on taking lots of videos of that walk and other stuff that i've tried to find in an effort to research this vacation and couldn't find. So if anyone has any odd picture requests, i'll be sure to try and take them for you!

Cashe, I knew I liked you! Pseudo antisocial is us. Now I wish we were on the same sailing, we could be anti social at each other from across the room. =D

Now that I guess cabanas are an option, BF and I had a moment of uh...should we get one? But we're not beach people and we both have a tendency to get bored and want to do something else on a dime. I know what I'm about to say will be anathema round these parts, but if we got a cabana we'd feel like we had to spend all day on the island to get our money's worth, and there's some chance we will decide the sun is too bright or whatever. Or, more likely, we will envy the people who have cabanas when we don't.

Random concierge question: seems really close to the senses spa, would a length of stay rainforest pass be worthwhile?
