Dream CMs, what to look for?

A lot of posts I've read have talked about seeing the "blue vests" or Dream CMs. Who/what should we be on the lookout for at Disneyland on our visit next month?

I don't think we'll be "hunting them down" or anything but paying attention when I see them could up my chances of being dreamed right?!

You're smart to plan ahead for what to look for. On our very last day of our three day trip in January, I nearly walked right past them!! I was so caught up in the magic and in my own little world!

Luckily DH was on the case, and he spotted a Dream Squad handing out Dream Fastpasses!! We were so happy, especially since it was our last day!

So just be sure to keep your eyes open! If you get Disney overload like me, designate someone else to look for them!

I think I'm like Vicki, I've never even noticed them! I think someone else just said they have on white vests with the Year of a Million Dreams logo on the back. Also said they blend in a bit, so look closely.

I don't get it... When you see the Dream CMs what are you are supposed to do? Walk up to them and ask to be dreamed? That sounds more like begging to me. If you have to ask, I don't see anything magical about it. I thought you were randomly chosen to be dreamed.

I have seen them many times at DL and never once thought about asking to be dreamed. I figure if they want to choose us, they will.

It is, i find it disgusting really to hunt the Dream squad down(no offense). I find it the best is to just go on and DONT look for them. Chances are, they will approach YOU!

If you read my OP I said it wasn't like we were going to hunt them down and by no means will I be "begging" for anything. But if they are handing out Dream Fastpasses or whatever to EVERYONE walking by (like I've read about several times) then you better believe I will try to take advantage, as would anyone.

We were "dreamed" a few weeks back when we were there. I don't even remember what the guy was wearing and my dh was almost rude to him thinking he was going to try and sell us something.

We ended up getting Dumbo tatoos for the kids. Kinda makes me wonder if we would've gotten something better if dh was nicer... Oh well, it was cool. Dh thinks it was because of our Incredibles Shirts (see pic below) that we were stopped.

I've wondered this myself actually. When dh and I were in DL back in November we saw a family with all this stuff (honorary citizen pins, dream ears) talking to a guy in a blue vest. And he had some lanyards in his hands and at the time I had heard about the dream team but I didn't know if he was one. So I was curious, and kept watching him as we walked by and then I stopped nearby (I wasn't wanting anything I just wanted to see if he was a dreamer) anyways the guy totally ignored us and just kept talking to the family so here is what I don't know:

1. Was this guy actually a dream man? Because I thought they hung out in groups.
2. Would it have been rude to have asked him if he was a dream guy?
3. Do they only hang out at exits to rides? Or do they dream anywhere?

I agree! If I had known what they looked like back in November I wouldn't have been so curious and stopped to stare at the possible dreamer.

We were dreamed last week (Dream Ears) and to be honest, I can't remember what the Dream cast members looked like or what they were wearing, except that they were REALLY smiling, and handing me dream ears...as they handed some to my daughter in the stroller they said, "you were in the right place at the right time for the Year of a Million Dreams..." I was so excited and in shock, and just staring at those cool ears...

It rocked. I probably acted like I was six years old, but it was awesome. (My Dream Ears are up on top of my computer desk here in my office, where I can look at them and remember...can't wait to get my dream ear photopass picture printed, too!!!)

A security guard we saw later approached us and congratulated us, too...asked where it had happened, etc. It was so nice, and so fun.

well I'm beginning to think the guy we saw was NOT a dreamer because he was not smiling at all and he looked kinda mean.

Will these Dream Cast Members approach a single person? I go by myself a lot and have only seen one guy trying to grab a family to give them flags to "pilot" their own boat thru the POTC...he was smiling lots and like all I didn't notice his apparel... just wondering if I need to grab a little kid and drag it around with me or if my own 'glow' will be enough to attrach the 'Dream Team"

We were there 6 days last week. I didn't see dreams being given out once. Not once! Now, we saw plenty of people walking around with dream fast passes and lanyard/pins, so I know they were there somewhere.....but I have no clue what they look like!

We were given the dream fast passes on Sunday. It was a pair of CM's wearing white vest with the dream logo on them. They were in a little alley way off the castle on the way to frontier land and they were handing them out to everyone who passed through. They had a lot of them to hand out.
