Nice! Had you booked two cabins, or did they upgrade you?

So, we've broken the FE into groups? So, only 10 rooms participating in each FE? I never saw this before. Have always done ones where we had 20+ rooms. Hectic but really fun.

If multiple families traveling together, does it then make more sense to have one in group 1 and other in group 2?

This is only our second Disney cruise, and second FE group. On the last one we did have a huge group, 40 cabins! It ended up fine since we were cruising into Hurricane Sandy and there was not much else to do but deliver FE gifts since we made no ports and most everything outdoors was shut down. I can see where in normal conditions it would have been very difficult to find the time to deliver to that many, especially on a 3-night cruise. I'm not feeling as rushed getting gifts made for this one.

Well, 40 seems a little crazy but 20 cabins seems like a great number. I've done 20-30 cabins and it took me an hour on two diff days to deliver. I am fine with that, if everyone else is.

10 seems really low to me especially given that our family makes up TWO of the ten. Can we vote on this maybe and see who wants to do it with a larger group?

Our family is up for more... First cruise ... Would love for my boys to have lots of gifts! Let me know of anyone that would like to exchange from group2 !! We are including the latecomers as well! 9064 for us!

Do what you like. Personally I think anything over 15 cabins gets expensive, time consuming (for those who make their fe gifts) and a bit unwieldy, and way too much stuff to haul home. With such a short cruise (and some of us are doing B2B) it made more sense to me to split it.

Usually, a FE is split when you reach 30+ cabins not 20.

I say we vote on it. Can the the people participating in the FE please weigh in on whether they want this split into two groups or keep it one group of 20 cabins?

So far, we have:
conandrob240 cabin 1- combine to larger FE
Conandrob240 cabin 2- combine to larger FE
Wergoin2camouse-combine to larger FE
LissaW16-keep separate

I would like to be kept seperate as i already purchased all the supplies for my gifts. This is our first time doing the FE, but seems like it is a little late to be making such a big change.

I agree that it is late to make such a big change (i.e. combining the FE groups) as many have already started purchasing and/or preparing their FE gifts. Maybe a solution could be making another list of people who would like to do the exchange with more than their assigned FE group (1 or 2). That way, in addition to exchanging with their assigned FE group (1 or 2), they can also plan to exchange with anyone who places themselves on the list for additional exchanges from the other FE group (1 or 2). If the latecomers were also placed on this list it may help the latecomers to plan by giving them a list of those who are definitely agreeing to exchange with them. That said, though, some, like me, may have already planned to exchange with the latecomers but not with more than that additional couple of staterooms - so my idea might not work well for everyone.:confused3 I think either way, you would still want a cut-off to be set for any additional lists that may be made so that people can plan.

Okay, I would request then that our family rooms be split to different list. Lissa, can you please move one of the conandrob240 rooms to the second group? Would that at least be okay?

Then we can have a third list for people who want to do the extra staterooms?

I didn't look closely at this before so I didn't realize the group was being split.
