Dream 7170 or 7668? Pictures? Experience?

We are in 7170 on the Dream this coming Thursday and I am concerned about the verandah obstruction.

While I know most would be thrilled with the free upgrade (we had an 8D GTY) -, I am claustrophobic. We had booked the 8D knowing that I am fine in rooms with windows (since the window is supposed to be surrounded by walls!) and the worst that could happen is that we'd be upgraded to a verandah.

Unfortunately it appears that the verandah is about 1/3 obstructed by a wall on the outside - which I'm afraid to my brain will feel like being closed in (a window is not supposed to have something covering it on the outside).

DH is positive I will be fine (he keeps mentioning the great bottle of rum his boss gave him for our cruise ), but I am concerned.

Does anyone have any pictures of the obstruction from inside the cabin (or 7668, since it's opposite)?

Nah, nothing there beyond the fact that they're obstructed, I've been watching.

The Passporter folks posted pictures and video of their obstructed room 7022, which is a forward obstructed room. It has less of an obstruction than the rooms you're asking about, but will give you some sense of the potential obstruction.

If you want to see pictures of a very obstructed room, you can look at the thread about room 5024, and the pictures posted there. That's probably one of the most obstructed rooms on the Dream, though again that obstruction isn't quite the same type and extent of obstruction either.
