By the way, I've PM'd Ericandkelly to find out favorites and still haven't heard from them... wonder if they are still planning on being involved in the FE exchange. Have you heard for sure?

I know I have read this on here before, but I have forgotten, so please forgive me if this is common knowledge - are we assigned a day to pass out our gifts? And do we put our name on the gifts we give out?

These are the questions that keep me up at night.

Hi,

you can give out gifts any day you want.....no assigned days.

it's your choice to put your name on the gift but most everyone does. I just print up some labels. I'll include the recipient's DIS name and cabin # and then my DIS name.

still have not heard from ericandkelly. it's odd....you'd think they would have checked back in by now to see what's happening with our exchange. I would hate for everyone to make them a gift and they wind up not participating. If we don't hear from them by a certain date, should we remove them? I would also hate to remove them and at the last minute they respond.

yeah, that's a tough one, but for me personally IF you dont hear from them at least 2 weeks before our trip, I might not included them in mine, BUT for those who are going above and beyond with personalization, they really need to know now.....hmmmmm......what does everyone else think?

That is strange. I PM'd them myself to ask for favorites about 4 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. Not sure what I'm going to do about our gifts for them... Hopefully they will respond to you soon or on the boards, and if not, maybe we just leave it up to everyone individually as to whether or not to include them.

That's a tough one indeed. I made extra so I'm good either way but for those that are personalizing I think if they dont check in within the next week or two it might be too late.

My FE gifts from our cabin are pretty much done... just have to help out with the FE gifts from the other two cabins in our family and then we will all be set!

The kids had their last days of school this week. Summer is here! Dream cruise, here we come!

Yea!!!! I received my package from Jenn yesterday too!! I ordered 5 polo shirts for DS with characters on them, a custom Mickey tee, and a pillow case for autographs. I just love Jenn...she does great work and is so easy to work with!!
We finish school with an awards program in the morning and then we are out!! Hoping to go camping in the motorhome this holiday weekend.

Oh, I almost forgot...those who don't subscribe to the other thread...we received our cruise documents today!!! It's really gonna happen - we booked this cruise over a year ago and now it is finally starting to seem real!!

That is great Bette! I know, Jen is great! We got some shirts for the kids and dresses for my DD, and family shirts and pillow cases too! I'll order from her for every Disney trip we ever do, she is great!
I just won't let the kids wear the outfits until the cruise! Then they can wear them after whenever, but until then they are put away!

I hope mine come soon. We are staying at the Hyatt MCO the night before. Earlier today I cancelled our day room for when we head home to save some $ (planning on shopping at the Universal HP World shop at the airport instead-I need a wand to stupify crabby co-workers). I figure we survived 13 hours at the Charlotte airport in 2008 so hanging out until a 4pm flight can't be that bad. We'll just take our time getting off the ship.

I can't answer your question about check in times-sorry.

I wanted to ask if there is anyone who is sharing a cabin with someone you don't live with? See we have made cabin gifts and I don't want to leave anyone out so if there are two or more households in your cabin just let me know. I made extras just for this scenario.

i went with avery...pack of 5 sheets for $8 and change. got three packs and free shipping. was thinking of the other brand...LD...pack of 20 for $24.99 but wanted to go with a brand I knew.

Based on Ellen's suggestion, I got the Avery magnet sheets too, and have printed our magnets on them and they worked out very nicely. I am sure they will be fine on the doors! They stick perfectly on our fridge and though thin, they seem to be sturdy!

I was alittle disappointed with a matte finish and not a glossy finish but when I printed a couple out, they looked great. I put one on my oven door and it held firmly and the ends did not curl up. I am hoping they will do just as good a job on the cabin doors.
