BTW - I love getting all the "Dream" updates from Disney.....the ship looks to be taking shape & I'm starting the countdown! Can't wait to hear all about the ship from the first people who cruise in January & February!!

Skylynx- I would love for the girls to meet up! And I definitely like the graduation cap idea. We have been on 2 Disney cruises and our DD has been on 3. Grandma took her last summer for her 16th Bday. DD loves cruising and meeting new friends. She has friends all over the country that she has kept in contact with and even visited with. On our second Disney cruise 5 years ago, DD met a girl on the Dis and they were inseperable on the ship! They have maintained that friendship and she comes down from Washington every year to go to Disneyland and even surprised DD on her 16th birthday last year. I love the Dis boards

I just realized I need to get my countdown on my post! Can't wait to spend the next 10 months getting to know each other

SO EXCITED FOR OUR 2ND CRUISE!!!

the last time we cruised the mexican riviera in june 2008 my youngest DS turned 3 on the boat. This time he will be having his 6th birthday on board!

i haven't broke the news to my DH yet, but he will still enjoy
he never said i couldn't book the cruise.....

i am totally hoping for pirate nite again!!!!

Today was my daughter's first day of senior year, and she said "mom, today's my last first day of school." She'll have a first day of college, I know, but a different thing. It was also my son's first day of high school. So nostalgia all around. Sniff.

Hi All,

Just got my cruise booked last week and found this thread today. We have a 9A GTY booked, so no room assignment yet. This is our second DCL cruise, first was in 2005 when we did a 4 night on the Magic. Our group consists of me and DW both about 40ish (a little more ish for me). DD who will be 16 for the cruise and DS who will be a couple weeks shy of 14. Hope to get a lot of good tips and such from the board and would like to get a chance to meet up as well.

I've not been on this board as much as I would have liked lately - but I've been on the facebook group. It's very cool to put faces to names - and will be much easier to recognize people when we see them pass by on deck!
