Dramamine or patch?

I love to fly, especially in jet airliners. However, there's a good possibility the first leg of my flight to Orlando might be a 30-40 minute hop in a smaller prop commuter, and I am very susceptible to air sickness in those little things. While I'll have a small layover in which to recover, I don't want my first day at Disney to be ruined by nausea. I've never used Dramamine and wondered if it works pretty well, and might be a good option for such a short flight. I know people who have use the scopolamine patch and say it works great, but I'd like to try and avoid paying for a Doctors office visit, and the cost of a prescription. Any advice?

If you take "regular" Dramamine, be advised it'll probably make you very drowsy. They do make a non-drowsy formula and there is also Bonine - a non-drowsy type as well. I take the drowsy ones on the plane, so I can relax and try to sleep, but that's because I have a 3 hour flight. I do take Bonine for my days in the parks and have been able to ride most rides without being nauseous(still haven't attempted the simulators, though). Alot of people like Bonine because they don't like the drowsiness regular Dramamine gives you.
