Drama, Please End...Fun, Please Begin...A Sept TR Updated 10/31

Love your pictures. Looking forward to seeing more. I thought that I was the only one to take pictures of plants and other things. We even got a couple of a rabbit eating hot peppers.

Maybe I should do a trip report...
Where should I post it??

Wondering if you are going the same time frame next year as you did this year?

C & M

I last left you preparing for Fulton's.

We arrived at Fulton's and were immediately seated upstairs.

Disney2010Sony272.jpg

We were a bit bummed because we didn't get the yummy crab spread and crackers. Instead we got the bread, but we were so looking forward to the crackers and crab spread.

There was a football game on and my brother was keeping an eye on the score.

Disney2010Sony273.jpg

We ordered appetizers. My brother had the fish tacos. I'm not brave enough to try these things anywhere.

Disney2010Sony274.jpg

I had a shrimp coctail. My mom and I my sister decided to split one.

Disney2010Sony275.jpg

Joe had the crabcakes.

Disney2010Sony276.jpg

Everything was delish, as usual. The crowd however, was totally out of control. There was an obnoxious table of 16, yes 16. They were so loud that no one on the entire floor could enjoy their meal. The more they drank, the louder they got. People were complaining but it didn't seem to do any good. You literally could not carry on a conversation, it was that bad. Babies were falling asleep and then being started when the table started up again. We were praying that they'd just keep the food coming so that they would eat and shut up. It was horrible. I've been in bars that were less noisy than these people. They clearly had no regard for anyone else in the restaurant that was trying to enjoy their meal.

My nephew loves ribs. He ordered them here. Check them out! We were laughing when we saw them come out, knowing he'd never be able to get through them.

Disney2010Sony277.jpg

My mom, sister and I all got the same thing. But we all made the same mistake....we forgot to ask that they not put butter on the plates.

Disney2010Sony278.jpg

The mistake we made comes into play later on and it also earned us a nickname from my brother which I don't know if I am brave enough to share on the boards yet.

I have no clue why I don't have pictures of the meals that my brother and Joe got. :confused3 Considering every time I whipped out the camera to take pictures of food, both Joe and my brother were making fun of me....food porn...boom chicka wow wow....and stuff like that. :rolleyes1

We finished our meals and figured we'd do a little more shopping before heading back to WL, dropping off mom and my nephew and then heading to meet Liesa and LeeAnn at Jellyrolls. I got into World of Disney and all of a sudden, I got sick....like major sick...get me to the bathroom NOW sick. I could not find anyone in my family to watch my stuff for me so that I could go into the bathroom. I began to panic, started to sweat and see stars. I finally caught Joe's eye so I flew into the bathroom. Dang butter.... you see, we can't eat butter or most dairy or we have to, as my aunt would say, strap a toilet to our butts! Yeah, no kidding. The stupid butter had spilled onto my plate out of the little cup thingy. Because it was my fault that I didn't tell them not to bring it, I just figured, eh, what can it hurt? Well, let me tell you. I was in so much pain for the rest of the night. I went outside and sat on a bench for a while. I could not even get up to get back to the car and go back to WL. Once we did get to WL, I was done for the night and totally mad at myself for not being able to meet Liesa at Jellyrolls.

Disney, Day 2 - Craptastic Stuff/Drama = Mom overheatig at DAK; me missing Jammin' Jungle, Joe getting hit by a flying duck, loud obnoxious people at Fultons, getting sick and not getting to meet Liesa
Disney, Day 2 - Fun Stuff = zebra domes

That about seems to sum it up~

Great pics at AK. I love the tree of life.

Sorry the heat was affecting your mom so bad. I hope she felt better after her rest :goodvibes

That sounds hilarious about the duck :rotfl2:

Oh man, a cliffhanger....just looked down and see u posted

so guess wont have to wait too long

I wish I'd had seen the duck! I totally missed it!

I love the tree of life too!

Amazing pictures!!
The Florida heat can be brutal, but I hope your mom felt better later on :thumbsup2.

That food looks delicious!!!!!! But i'm sorry about you feeling sick after :(

The heat can be brutal. It seems to be getting worse each Seotember.

It was my own darn fault. I forgot to tell them no butter.

Bow chicka bow wow...that always cracks me up when I hear someone say that :lmao:

You poor thing. That must have been awful after you meal.

That sucks about those obnoxious diners. Shame they were not asked to leave :headache:

I was stunned that one asked them to either respect others or to leave. It was amazing, the amount of noise that they produced!!

My brother and Joe were doing the boom chicka wow wow at the same time. If my nephew was paying attention I think it was brown chicken brown cow, or something like that....so he'd not catch on.

All caught up now! Oh dear - not ironic then! :scared1:

Still WL looks gorgeous, shame about all the hassle so far, espcially the obnoxious people at Fulton's why didn't they just get asked to leave? Oh yeah - $. :rolleyes1

Di x

Honestly Di, they were so rude, but I think you're right. The wine bottles kept being opened, etc., and I'm sure that their check was quite hefty.

Sorry just had to quote this as it made be burst out laughing :lmao: Only Joe eh!

Gosh you've been busy, loving all the updates, but not all the problems that entailed :(

I love the picture of you and Karin & co, so lucky you got to meet them :) and cute gift too :)

Fultons didn't sound like fun esp when you weren't that keen on the restaurant to begin with. I remember you saying that you weren't well and I didn't realise it was that bad, so sorry that happened :(

I promise you next year is going to be great and if things start going wrong we can just pick on Dave for fun :teeth:

I was so nice to meet Karin. We really had an enjoyable conversation. I haven't seen her on my TR yet, though. I hope she joins us!

I totally missed the duck hitting Joe. If I'd had seen it, I probably would have burst out laughing too, just based on how the trip was going.

Oh yes, let's pick on Dave for fun next year! Just kidding, Dave!!!

C & M

Hi, :welcome: to my TR! Glad that you are both here!

I think you should start a TR. There is an area for TR's that you'd post in.

We're going at practically the same time next year. We're leaving a bit later though....on the 6th.

I saw your PM, which I will respond to after I catch up. Joe and I are looking forward to seeing you both.

We decided that we were going to get our shopping out of the way today. Tonight was Fantasmic for us.

We headed to DTD to have breakfast at Earl since we were not going to use Roaring Forks for breakfast.

It was pretty hazy out, but I asked my nephew to pose for a picture by the buffalo bush out front of WL.

Disney2010Sony279.jpg

We headed to Earl, but first stopped to pick up my brother. There was no one there when we arrived and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I loved breakfast there, mom didn't care for hers too much. Here are some of the things that we had. By now the fam was use to me taking food pics and they actually made their stuff look "fancy" for me. lol

Disney2010Sony281.jpg

Disney2010Sony282.jpg

Disney2010Sony283.jpg

Disney2010Sony284.jpg

We had breakfast and then wondered around for a bit before heading to DHS. We placed are ourders for Mickey ears and had them all shipped to the resort. I got 4 pair, my bro got 5 I think and my sis got 2. I found a few ornaments that I liked and had those shipped too along with my Christmas cards for this year. Mom got us our anniversary gift, which was shipped home. It's the Disney Village Deluxe Castle. I can't wait to put it out for Christmas.

Someone took this picture for us, ironically, no one in my family did....some random guy. ha ha

Disney2010Sony286.jpg

We also went to Once Upon a Toy, where Joe's vinylmation obsession continued. I ended up with Kermit, which is the mystery one for the Muppets. Yay! We also got Miss Piggy and the two old dudes. I can't remember when or where it happened, but Joe got the mystery one for TS3 (pork chop or whoever) and he traded it!!! OMG, he is still mad about it today. I think it happened at Once Upon a Toy.

From there we went to World of Disney. I could have kicked myself for not getting that beach towel that they had on special. We did lots of shopping there and then went to Basin so that I could get bath bombs for the girls at work.

From there, we went to WalMart. Yep, you're probably thinking....are they ever going to get to a park? Well, I was thinking the same thing.

Anywoo, WalMart was empty. When I say empty, I mean half the store was empty...no product, no shelves, etc. We had already run out of the water that I had delivered (yep, it was that hot), so I wanted to get more. Get this, they had ONE BRAND of water in a case. That was it.

From WalMart, we went to Kissimmee to the junk shops. I love the junk stores. One store had a hilarious shirt...it was titled "The *** Family." Below the title were stick figures and names....smart, dumb, stupid, wise.... ha ha!!!

First though, we had to go to the Harley Store. I got the classic black and orange tee shirt.

After shopping in Kissimmee, everyone was a little hungry so we went through the drive thru at Checker. Gotta love getting 6 burgers and 5 drinks for like $12 bucks. We didn't want to get meals since we had an ADR later that day.

We then went back to WL to drop our bags and get ready for our evening at DHS.

Sounds like a great DTD Shopping Day, gotta love those :teeth:

Can't believe Joe traded the special TS3 Vinylmation  Silly man

EoS looks soooooo yummy, can't wait to try one of their sandwiches :teeth:

Looking forward to reading more popcorn::

We had a 4:15 ADR at Mama Melrose. I had not been there since we went with the Backstage Magic Tour. I was excited to get back and even happier that I got the Fantasmic Package.

Off we go to DHS...........

Disney2010118.jpg

Disney2010119.jpg

Disney2010120.jpg

Disney2010121.jpg

We thought that we had enough time to ride the GMR before our ADR.

Disney2010123.jpg

Disney2010125.jpg

Notice that I used the word "thought?" Well, we were not on time. I think we checked in about 10 minutes late. The place was packed. I've not seen a Disney restaurant as packed at this place. I found a corner and just hung out. I spotted this hidden Mickey on the wall.

Disney2010126.jpg

And took these while we waited.

Disney2010129.jpg

Disney2010130.jpg

Disney2010131.jpg

After about 30 minutes we were seated for dinner. I snapped a few pictures while we waited for our food to arrive.

Disney2010134.jpg

Disney2010138.jpg

Appetizers arrived.

Disney2010140.jpg

Disney2010141.jpg

Disney2010142.jpg

Followed shortly thereafter by our meals.

Disney2010144.jpg

Disney2010145.jpg

Disney2010146.jpg

Disney2010147.jpg

The food was fantastic. So much so that I plan to include Mama's as a "must do" for future trips.

continued on next post......

We ordered dessert. YUMMY is all I can say!!!

Disney2010149.jpg

Disney2010151.jpg

Disney2010153.jpg

After Mama's, we went to Muppets. Muppets are a family favorite. My brother and sister have probably seen every single episode of the show. We all have our favorites. I love Fozzie, so does my sister. My brother loves Beaker...big time.

Disney2010175.jpg

Disney2010176.jpg

Disney2010177.jpg

Disney2010179.jpg

After the show, we browsed the shop for a bit. I got a couple of things. It was then time for us to head to the Fantasmic theater.

So, did our craptastic luck continue during Fantasmic?..............

Ding, ding, ding....if you said THE MARA, you are right? The Mara you ask? Didn't we just finish eating at BOMA? Um yeah, but I NEED ZEBRA DOMES!!!!!!!!! I had to get me these babies!

Disney2010Sony115.jpg

And yes, I ate them ALL...with a little help from my sister.............

Im 1/2 through your report..loving it! I just had to chime in here when I saw your nails!! I love the Mickey!

EoS is really yummy! I know that you won't be disappointed.

I can't believe he traded the special vinylmation either. :sad2:

Hi, and :welcome: Glad to have you along!

Thanks. :goodvibes I had little gem Mickey's on my thumb nails for our trip. I still have one...the other didn't make it after we got home. :lmao:

Oopsy for being late to MM, but it sounds like the wait wasn't too bad and well worth it from the looks of all that yummy food :teeth:

Awesome pictures outside Muppets, love the fountain one :thumbsup2

Am sending you a PM :)

:littleangel: that food looks delicious!!! popcorn::
Hollywood Studios is by far my favorite park.
I'm sorry about the ADR though.

I guess they are use to people arriving a few minutes late. You can never predict what will happen on some of the rides.

The food was yummy. I can't wait to go back next year.

I got your PM. ;) Stupid Yahoo...............

Hi there! :wave2: I made it over, and have been reading between loads of laundry :goodvibes Man, you are just zipping through the report! So it was really hot while you were there? I guess we got lucky with our weather, it wasn't as hot or near as humid as what we're used to in September in Florida. I can't believe how much your nephew has grown from the pictures of him in your PTR!

It seems that I don't get to spend as much time at DHS as I'd like. There is a lot to see and do there.

Hi. :welcome:

Ugh, it was really, really hot. I think we had one day that wasn't so bad, but it was towards the end of our trip. I'm glad that you got lucky with your weather. :goodvibes

Seems that my nephew has grown a lot, especially over the last two years. :littleangel:

We wanted to see the first Fantasmic show. I was getting a bit nervous because it was thundering and there was lightening in the distance. I figured it would hold off for at least a couple of hours so it would be best to try and see the first show.

We had seats to the far right of the theater. I was shocked as to how full the place was already and we had almost an hour before the show. Someone in front of us started the wave, which was fun.

Check out the crowd an hour before show time:

Disney2010377.jpg

As the finale started, an entire row in front of us stood up and blocked everyone's view. We were stunned. No one could even respond and ask them to sit down we were so shocked at their rudeness. Forget about the 1,000 peole behind them that couldn't see. One guy even had his child on his shoulders and just stood there. Really? Needless to say, I got craptastic pictures. I guess I will have to go back again next year and try one more time......

As we headed out of the theater, the thunder and lightening were more frequebt. Joe, my bro, my sis and nephew wanted to ride ToT. Mom and I found a spot neare RNRC and took a couple of photos while we waited.

Disney2010384.jpg

Disney2010386.jpg

Disney2010383.jpg

Disney2010388.jpg

It started to sprinkle a bit while we waited for the family so mom and I went into this little alcove in case it started to pour. Others had the same idea and we were then trying to dodge strollers. Just as I saw the family coming, we left the alcove and all of a sudden..........BAM..........the ToT was STRUCK BY LIGHTENING! :scared1: The entire freaking place lit up. It was crazy. I got so scared that I nearly hit the ground. Got to my knees actually. Mom was freaking out and all of a sudden I hear Joe say, "man, I wish we were on the ride still." I'm like, is he freaking nuts! The dang thing was struck by freaking lightening!

We figured we'd have a good chance to make it to the car before the rain really hit. Um, no.......... It poured. Like monsoon poured. We were debating on making a run for it or just waiting it out in a shop. The shops were packed so we just made a run for it. This was one time when I wish that Joe had remembered his handicap pass because we would not have had to go too far. Nope, since surgery he has hardly had any pain so he doesn't use it. Well, my brother and Joe decided that they'd go get the car because as is our family luck, whenever we park at Disney we are always "starting a new row" which means we are in East Jesus as we like to call it. They boarded the tram while we waited under an overhang. I hear Joe scream "take the next tram...we will have the car at the top of the row." Okay, that works for me. Well, get this. My bro and Joe got on the first tram car after the lead car. Know what that means? It turns into a water ride. :lmao: The CM even welcomed them to DHS' only water ride. :rolleyes1To say that they got soaked is an understatement.

We waited for the next tram and got on...thankfully, not in the first car. But you know what, it didn't matter....we still got wet....really wet. Gross wet. Once we got to our row, we got off of the tram and some dude started yelling at mom. To this day, we have no clue what he was yelling about. We piled in the car and made our way to POR to drop off my bro before heading to WL.

We decided that when we got to WL that we would valet park, for the first time this trip. Who cares if it's $12. Who cares if it's $112 at this point. They were doing construction on the front of the building so there was equipment all over the place and we had to walk around it every night.

Needless to say, the valet taking the car got a good tip, and apparently, a good laugh after seeing the drowned rats that emerged from the car. We wanted to tip him well since we knew he'd end up with a wet butt after getting into our car.

Disney, Day 3 - Craptastic Stuff/Drama = Being late for our ADR, the jerks at Fantasmic that decided to ruin the finale for everyone, the dang lightening strike at ToT that scared the crap out of us, and of course, the monsoon rain

Disney, Day 3 - Fun Stuff = The day finally ended

There was a football game on and my brother was keeping an eye on the score.

Disney2010Sony273.jpg

It was a close game. Had to watch my Buckeyes win it. I love my Droid phone.

We ordered appetizers. My brother had the fish tacos. I'm not brave enough to try these things anywhere.

They were messy but very tasty. I would order them again.

Everything was delish, as usual. The crowd however, was totally out of control. There was an obnoxious table of 16, yes 16. They were so loud that no one on the entire floor could enjoy their meal. The more they drank, the louder they got.

The worst part for Joe and I was the lady who had that cackling laugh. I really thought they had the wicked witch of the west at that table. The sound was like nails on a chalkboard.

The mistake we made comes into play later on and it also earned us a nickname from my brother which I don't know if I am brave enough to share on the boards yet.

I'm just here for comic relief. The fact I made you laugh so uncontrollably in the car made my vacation.

I have no clue why I don't have pictures of the meals that my brother and Joe got. :confused3 Considering every time I whipped out the camera to take pictures of food, both Joe and my brother were making fun of me....food porn...boom chicka wow wow....and stuff like that. :rolleyes1

How did you miss that? We got the same thing. The lobster tail and the crab claws. Tail was a bit salty though..weird tasting.

As we headed out of the theater, the thunder and lightening were more frequebt. Joe, my bro, my sis and nephew wanted to ride ToT.

One thing I wanted to add...the rudeness continued while waiting for ToT. While we were waiting in that small room leading to the elevator a couple in their twenties decided to cut around the entire group and to the front of the elevator. Joe and I both heard the guy say "everyone is doing it so why don't we?" Unbelievable..if it wasn't people cutting in line or one person holding "a spot" in line for another 10 people behind them there was always something going on that trip.

There was an amazing amount of rudeness this year, wasn't there? I swear, I wish I had a magic wand so that I could have waived pixie dust on some of those people.

The original plan for Day 4 was to go to MK. We all felt we got robbed a bit at DHS so we changed up the plan and went back to DHS instead.

I had a brilliant (make that stupid) idea to have breakfast at Starring Rolls.

Disney2010Sony293.jpg

We ended up spending a ton of credits there. It was tough to make a CS meal so we burned through I don't know how many snack credits. We should have paid out of pocket. :(

I had a bagel. Others had these things. They looked amazing.

Disney2010Sony294.jpg

Disney2010Sony295.jpg

I CM who spoke very little English (no one understood a word he said to us) saw me fiddling with my camera and asked if he could take a picture of all of us. My bro was still eating since it took him forever to get through the line at Starring Rolls. He had to do some serious convincing for the CM to take the picture without him in it. I didn't think that the guy would give up!

Disney2010Sony298.jpg

I took this one while my bro finished up his breakfast.

Disney2010Sony297.jpg

We decided that the first stop after breakfast would be TSMM.

I took these on the walk over.

Disney2010Sony305.jpg

I can't remeber the wait time but I do remember that it was far less than what we actually waited. I rode with Joe since riding with my mother guarantees a loss for me. Not that riding with Joe doesn't, but he's an expert gamer and mom....well, she just pulls the dang string and doesn't even aim and she still beats me!!!
