Just under 4 weeks until our first trip to UO. Hurray! I have a couple of questions on Dragon's Challenge. We don't normally do adults only rides at Disney or Six Flags. If the kids can't go on it (or won't) we don't. But since we have ExpressPass, I want to a appease my inner thrill seeker. I was thinking Dragon Challenge would be a good option. It looks like it's a suspended coaster like Batman at Six Flags which I love. But when I plugged it into Touring Plans, it says the ride is 20 minutes long. Is that a mistake or does it have some sort of pre-show? I don't want to make the kids wait that long for a grown up only ride.

It has a long walk to get to the actual ride. The ride is maybe 2 minutes total.

Since you have express pass - I think the walk is much less.
You go through the same area outside - but once you enter the building you go right to the express pass which skips a lot of the inside stuff.

Also you should try to do it twice since it is two very different coasters.

And if you want to do it twice there is a set of steps (on the right) as you are walking to the exit that will take you back to the metal detector area, skipping some of the long walk up the entrance.

At a brisk walk, I'd say it takes no longer than 2-3 minutes to walk the entire length of the queue

Ah, the ride with the never ending walk (no express pass). And, like the Mummy, when the queue is empty, it's a confusing maze. Honestly, some arrows would help. :). I was able to lead a group to the right path during on of our Dragon Challenge rides as they were all turned around and going in circles. I actually liked the line though and wouldn't chose to skip it. I'd say it takes about 5-10 minutes though to get to the ride of just walking.

Awesome. Thank you guys. I love TP (I wouldn't have known that EE changed from IOA to USF for Nov if I hadn't been playing in it) but sometimes it gets things wrong.

One more question. Is the ride pretty smooth? I love inversions but I like my coasters smooth.

Yes, it's smooth. The walk probably is only a couple of minutes but it feels long. I've never been through the regular ride line. We are about to ride it now.

If the wait time is short, I recommend doing the regular line if you're a Harry Potter fan.

The theming in the queue is actually pretty neat! The lines were never longer than 5 minutes, so you'll be flying through the queue trying not to hold anyone back behind you.

Also, non-rider go into the Child Swap room right as you are getting ready to board the ride, so they will only wait about 5-10 mins for you. I will say, it has the most boring of the child swap rooms though (most swap rooms are great at Uni). It is just a bench in a hallway with doors on either end.

But it is an excellent ride! I just make sure we hit a few wand spots and grab a butterbeer afterwards, for the youngest kiddos waiting ;)
