Dragon Challenge down all day

Dragon Challenge has been down all day. We were there about 9am and were told to try back in the afternoon. At that time there were no cars running at all. We checked back around 1pm when we saw some empty cars running and were told it was still down for "technical maintenance" and that it may not be up today at all. Of coarse this just made the rest of HP world all the more crowded. FJ was 90+ minutes all day then severe thunderstorms popped up around 1:30 and shut everything else down.
So we left only to be stuck on I-4 in traffic for almost 2 hours.
Hoping to go back this evening with some better luck!!

Likely down so they can effect the changes that were reported to prevent the two dragons from intersecting, I'll wager.

^They've been doing that already for a couple of days I thought? All they have to do is disable the syncing computer on the lift hills that matches the trains together, then send the trains purposely at least a train length behind each other. I'm not too sure why it would be down.

Wow, I've never seen that kind of traffic on I-4 even around Christmas. Was there a wreck or construction causing lane closures?

Probaby an accident...I don't think there is any construction going on right now which is a miracle.

This is why we always tell people to allow themselves plenty of time between Disney and Universal. I always find it amusing when someone says it's only 15 minutes between the two when we locals know better.

We got on International Drive this past Saturday at about 4:00 PM. My idea was to run from Universal to the Shell station next to the McD's on Sand Lake. My idea turned into a 45 minute sit and crawl forward marathon. Never again!

I don't see how you guys put up with some of that traffic.

I have no problems with any traffic, we stay onsite and go no where.
