Draft your favorite obnoxiously over-the-top room request (winner will be selected)

I want a concierge room with a view of the castle (please make sure the trees on the island are trimmed as to not block any of the castle from my room only). I would like to make a request that housekeeping have towel animals when I arrive and changed every hour on the hour so I don’t get bored of them. Can I have special items made up in the concierge lounge and delivered to my room because it is my anniversary and birthday while I am visiting? I would like a cart to bring me over to the TTC to get on the monorail and to bring me back to my room when I return. I want the room with the newest bedspread, carpet and paint and I want a coffee maker, microwave in the room as well as a BBQ grill on the patio.

Be prepared that if one of these things is not honored I will ask for a full refund and I will never return to this resort again.

I will be calling this request in as well as faxing, sending by mail, emailing multiple times and sending Moses with it engraved on tablets.

Please confirm that you have received this request in triplicate.

On a Friday night, just home from work, with the meat loaf in the oven and feeling as far away from WDW as you can imagine, with a glass of wine by my left hand, it is an absolute treasure to share the awesome creativity of DIS people. You guys are the best. Thanks for the lift! I am smiling from ear to ear! Moses with tablets, yet!

This thread is hilarious! It really brightened my day! :)

Dear room controller,

Since this is our first trip to WDW where we will be staying on-site, we would like all of the following requests met so we can enjoy all the Disney magic without giving up any of the perks of staying off-site in a pool home.

1) We would like to pay less than $150 per night for room and all amenities.

2) We would like five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Five adjoining rooms would suffice each with a private balcony of course.

3) We would like a full kitchen. If that can't be arranged, room service from the restaurant of our choice for no charge would ideal. A butler and maid available 24-hours a day would be required as well.

4) Our own private pool with hot tub. Any themed pool would be fine as long as it was closed to everyone except those in our party.

5) Parking in our own garage outside our front door. I imagine this might be difficult to arrange, so a Disney bus with a friendly, funny driver standing by for us at all times would be adequate. This bus should be prepared to deliver us to the destination of our choice and wait for our return. Destinations may or may not within Walt Disney World property.

6) We can't have noise from any other guests. Please keep all adjoining rooms empty for the length of our stay since we make lots of noise ourselves, but don't want to hear anything from anyone else. I suppose it would be easiest to put us on the top floor somewhere so you don't lose revenue because of the empty rooms above. Therefore our own private elevator should be provided as well.

7) Our pool home is typically surrounded by lush greenery, so rooms with a view of water, castles, and/or fireworks would be equivalent. Service areas, roads, or parking lots would not be appreciated.

8) Since we aren’t used to being surrounded by Disney guests 24 hours a day, we would like our own personal EMH each evening for the resort of our choice. Only guests in our party would get wristbands. Other guests would be welcome to stay in the park as long as they don’t get in our way and they wouldn’t be allowed on any rides. I would think 4 hours would be enough time each evening.
If these requests are met as described above, we might consider staying on-site again.

Ms. Asking 2. Much

Please give everyone who comes to visit your resort the best room available. Please make their check-in experience simple and memorable. Have all of the rooms available by 3pm on check-in day (and earlier when possible because that can really make your day).

I would like for all of the rooms to be clean and well-themed. Please have the TV tuned to a resort channel when we arrive, and when we ask for a wake-up call, have Mickey or some other appropriate star make the call.

Mickey-shaped soaps and hidden Mickeys on the shower curtain would be a nice touch.

Also, please help anyone who needs a special accomodation for their room, and order some special surprises for guests celebrating special occasions.

Thanks for the free upgrade to concierge in 2000, the anniversary champagne in 2002, and the birthday balloons in 2004.

 Yeah, like those things will happen. That's the most far-fetched one yet! ;)

Thanks to all! I really needed a laugh this evening.

Dear Room Controller,

Since we are quite aware that you cannot possibly fulfill all of our requests (not to mention that if you do, we won't be satisfied anyway) please prepare to move into the room you will be assigning us, vacate your home and turn it over to us for the duration of our vacation. Please remove any vestiges of smoking that might be present, have the house meticulously cleaned, stock the pantry with snacks, and arrange to have a towncar pick us up daily to drive us to the parks.

You could also hang a few Disney-related items on the walls to remind us of where we are.

Breakfast should be delivered at 7 AM sharp.

Dear Wilderness Lodge--
Hi! We are going on vacation for Christmas 2007 and are so excited about going to DisneyLand! I just started planning and have been reading all of the guide books and learning lots of cool stuff on the internet that I think will make our trip just perfect! Since we are going during a slow week, I think it will be the nice relaxing vacation our whole family needs. And I am dying to go the the candle light vigil Christmas Mass in Epcot and seeing Ozzy Osbourne's light display.
Everything we read said to ask all your questions and send your requests to your hotel ahead of time--I know we're not going for two years but all this stuff is just so fresh in my mind. I can always send monthly updates to keep you up to date on our plans. We're very low-maintenance and are just excited about seeing Shrek and all our other favorite Disney characters!
Right now we are 86% sure we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge because I loved the idea of staying in a cabin and I'm dying to go to River Country! Is it open Christmas week? And is the water heated?
We might switch our reservation over to the Boardwalk though because everyone says Stormalong Bay is the BEST pool. And I love that will be in walking distance to Disney World because that is my favorite park. We are planning to spend most of our time there. My daughters love the princesses and I heard there was a character meal with all of them at the castle. Can you get us reservations there or do we just walk in?
I know I am just a bundle of questions. Do you have someone I can call to go over all of this? Maybe when I call to make my reservations? I don't actually have a room yet because I am waiting for some kind of code to come out. I keep looking and asking about them but they only seem to be out until July. I also call every day to see if there are discounts next to my name or my address or my maiden name or my old address or my 6 e-mail addresses that I used to register at Disney.com...but nothing! Everyone talks about them and I am thinking that if I get one I can stay in one of those rooms with the free food for about $93 a night. Those are the ones that the monorail comes through on its way to Sea World, right? My kids will love that! And being able to sit on the lagoon and watch Illuminations--that will be total Disney magic!
Speaking of my kids--They are all celebrating their 3rd birthday while we are there. I read that we are supposed to tell you that so they can get cool free stuff and because if they turn 3 while we are there we don't have to pay for their tickets. We have 2 boys and 2 girls--they are fraternal quadruplets, go figure! I don't need proof of age for the kids, right?
For the room, I know the kids don't count towards the headcount since they are under three, but we also have 4 adults (we're bringing both Grandmas to watch the kids so we can have an adult night out at The Cellar in France or Canada, it's a really nice restaurant in Epcot where you can watch Fantasmic while you eat!). The kids are kind of big for 3 though and won't really fit in a crib, so we have 8 in a standard room. I was thinking instead of 2 queens we could do 6 twins and a set of bunkbeds just lined up in a row. I'm pretty sure you can do that, if not I know I am supposed to ask for a free upgrade when I get there.
I think we are going to do the new meal package because it will be a huge savings when we combine it with the AP we're buying to get our code. I figure the kids don't need any tickets or anything since they are under three and just my husband and I will go on the plan and the grandmas will just get park hoppers and quick and casual vouchers off ebay (it is such a money saver--I just got a voucher for only $53!!!!). We're also going to bring my cousin's refillable mug from when she went to Pop Century last year--She told us you can use them anywhere for free drinks, so we'll just bring a bunch of straws and share! Do you do the reservations for us for the restaurants or do we just do them when we get there? I don't know if we're going to be able to decide ahead of time so just get 6:00 reservations at a few restaurants in each park and we'll just decide once we're there. I'd hate to have to walk over to MGM when we are in Disney World just to make our reservation at the Rainforest Cafe.
I think that is all for now. Is there a way to e-mail you our weekly updates? Do you have Yahoo because we IM about the trip every night and I'd love some official input! Can you tell I am SO excited!?! I'm hoping we have such a great trip that my husband wants to go every year and we can do that thing where you get time share points and get in for free. I hear that is really expensive though so I'll have to get a code for that too I guess. Could you check to see if there are any codes next to my name?
Thanks!

BECCAGRACE,
that is a hoot, i love it!!! most orignial yet!! love all the "slip" ups as well,
it is so true!!! thanks for the laughs, i read this to all my friends!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :jumping1:

These are so funny! Here's my try...

Dear Room Controller,
Hello! Are you ready to work your Disney magic? I really don't have alot of requests and I know you will do your best (because nothing less, than providing every one, will be acceptable :) ) I'll number them to better aide you in checking them off as they are completed. I like to be thoughtful that way.
1) We are staying at the Beach Club. Love that pool! But I really would like to be upgraded to your very best room since it will be my birthday and we all know that is a red letter day! Please be sure the room is full of welcoming gifts, small but tasteful (read: ppricey) tokens of your affection for me. Did I mention that pin trading is very popular in my family?
2) Since we will be staying CL, as per the upgrade request in #1, and I am on Weight Watchers, could you please label all the lounge items with their appropriate points values? I don't want to have to figure them out on my own...after all, this is my vacation. :goodvibes
3) I've never eaten breakfast at Cinderella's Castle. My DS age 12 and DH aren't really into that. I was hoping you could acquire a daughter for me to take to breakfast. Anyone will do as long as she has blonde hair and blue eyes, is dressed like a princess princess: , lovely manners and between the ages of 4 and 6. After all, I do want her to look like mine in the photos. Obviously, you will need to arrange our PS for the most optimal time on the first day of my visit. I'd like the option of keeping the child during my vacation and returning her when she becomes cranky, messy or "cramps my style". Other than that, I trust your judgement.
4) My mom (bad heart) and dad (bad back) are coming too. I was wondering if you could expand the monorail to include our resort and all the parks. I really would like to restrict this portion of the monorail to only YC and BC and BW guests. I think the guest from other resorts will just clutter it up...don't you?
5) I hear the turn down service is really great. I was wondering if I could have a Mickey ice cream bar :mickeybar instead of the chocolate? I'd be willing to call you 15 minutes before I want to come back to the room. That should give you enough time but still keep the bar plenty frozen!

I am sure you will have no problem making this the most magical vacation ever. Ta-ta for now.

Birthday Girl

Howdy Ya'll

I just have a few notions about what we are accustomed to in our room.

1. It must be the biggest room ya'll have a the AKL. Being from Texas we are
used to plenty of space!
2. Must have a good view of the veranda with all the animals right outside.
Little Bubba will get a kick out of those deers with the curly horns and the
striped horses.
3. We also prefer leather furniture. Got to keep close to the cattle!!!
4. If you could also have a 12 guage available and plenty of amo, just leave
it leaning on the door jam. I would really appreciate it since they won't
let me bring mine on the airplane no more. The boys and I just want to
a little target practice in the evening.
5. We would also like a large barbque pit set up down by the pool. This is
just in case we we hit one of those striped horses or curly horned deer
by accident. Don't worry we all know how to field dress any carcass and
we will bury the entrals so there will be no mess. We will bring our own
bbq sauce.
6. A shovel would be nice too. Better make that 2 12 guages, my DH has
changed his mind and wants to see some of this magic too.
7. We want to do one of those breakfast in the Castle things with those
princesses. Mary Sue and Little Bubba have their hearts set on that.
Just have plenty of steaks and eggs. About those princesses, I have
seen their pictures and they look a little on the scranny side, if you find
some with a little more meat on their bones we would really appreciate it.

Well Ya'll have a really nice day and we'll see ya in about a month.

I remember this thread from years ago.

I have not laughed this hard in a long, long time.

grandma jan - I think you are related to my in-laws

BECCAGRACE - just wonderful

Thank you all for the laughs

These posts have been wonderful to read. I have been laughing so hard I have tears streaming down my face. I wanted to share an actual experience I had checking into POFQ.

The gentleman next to us was grilling the front desk hostess about how he paid extra for the water view room, so by golly, he wanted to see the ocean! She calmly tried to explain to him that WDW was about 90 miles from the nearest ocean.

He says, "Your lying. I have seen the map. Florida is a very thin state."

She finally gave up and said she could put him in a room that faces the ocean (I'm assuming facing East), but he probably won't be able to see the ocean from his room. This seemed to please him and she was able to finish checking him in. :sad2:

Its times like that when I wonder how the CM's do their jobs with a straight face! That's great! Thanks for sharing!!

Dear Room Controller,
You'll have the pleasure of having the company of my loaded rich extended family and I for the whole month of June. Wait, is June peak season? Because if it is we need to be charged for value season because I don't want to waste my precious money on your cheap Disney resort. Can I have an AP rate? What is an AP rate? I'm sure you'll give me one because I'm loaded and I might just slip you $20. ;) We decided to stay at the Grand Floridian because I just can't stand to stay to a value resort and take one of those nasty busses, that just won't do. Anyway, below are some requests I have for my family of 50 and I.

1) All of us are going to NEED to have conceirge service in the Royal Palms Club or whatever it's called. I don't care if there aren't any rooms left, you have to kick out all of the families who are wasting space that SHOULD be reserved for VERY wealthy families such as MY family. There's NO way I'm staying in Sugar Loaf Key. What a tacky name. Whatever.

2) I need to have food in the conceirge lounge for all of my 50 family members and myself. I've heard that sometimes nasty children and men in nothing but bathrobs with grocery bags come in and steal food. Wait, I take that back. I want the WHOLE lounge reserved for my precious family from 4pm-11pm. I don't care if it's closed, have one of those mouse people open it up!

3) We ALL need a view of Cinderella's Castle so we can all watch the fireworks. I demand that you blast the music of "Wishes" into our rooms. What is the point of having a lagoon view if I can't even see the fireworks, the Castle and HEAR the music. Do you think it would be possible if Tinkerbell could fly over our rooms?

4) I can't deal with smoke and neither can my 50 family members. I would LOVE to have everyone at the Grand Floridian NOT be allowed to smoke while were there. Seriously, what would Walt think if he knew people were smoking at the Grand Floridian!?

5) Forget a stupid wake up call from Mickey. I want a parade of characters to come up to ALL of the children's rooms and I need to have a personal character breakfast for my family at no extra charge.

6) Our family LOVES afternoon teas. I want Alice and the Mad Hatter to come to OUR conceirge lounge to have tea. We want PB&J sandwiches, cucumber and watercress, tuna, chicken salad, shrimp salad, honey and peanut butter, veggie, turkey, BLT's. I want all of the pastries from the Main Street Bakery to be delivered to OUR lounge.

7) We want to have mints put on our pillows AT LEAST 5 times a day. The mousekeepers can't come into our rooms without being invited. Our family needs NEW sheets, comforters, pillows. Anything used will NOT do. How about if your staff makes us custom beddings with sparkles! Like Tinkerbell! Please have the mousekeepers inspect our room for any dust. If we discover any dust I WILL SUE! What if the children catch a cold or have to be rushed to the hospital because of YOUR dust. Whatever.

8) We also want to ride in Cinderella's Carriage everyday to the Magic Kingdom. Why in the world would I want to take that weird looking train?

Your welcome, we're so glad we could make your day better by staying at your resort.

Lindsey and my family for 50.

I love all these wonderful letters. I know we all created them as a joke, and they are fake, but the sad (yet humorous) part is that... umm... yeah, people actually send things like these into the resorts. *sigh* :)

(This is all tongue in cheek.... meant for fun, so hope no one takes offense!)

Hey Room Lady,
Me and the Missus and the youngins'll be 'riving on Fridy 'fore Easter (ya'll see, they has a school break then). We has a room reserved fer us at the Poly .... hey... wadya expect--heh heh--- the All Stars? We's been savin' all our money from our moonshine sales and wanna do it high on the hog!

Just wanted to let ya'll know our needs whiles we're there.

1st, we needs to be right by the main pool (yeah, the one with the volcano), on the 1st floor so's we can go over yonder to the pool anytime we get a hankerin'... think ya'll can open the pool bar fer us, too? The Missus really wants one of them red fruity drinks. I'll just take me a beer. Do ya'll have discounts if if buy 'em by the case?

Do ya'll think that while we're ther ya'll could humor us and put that toilet paper back on the castle? It looked so good ther ! I really wanna take our pitchure to put on the Christmas cards this year in front of it. It'll ruin our vacasion if we don't get that pitchure. I'm sure ya'll understan!

Also, the little gremlins'll be specting Stitch ta tuck 'em in ever'night. Oh, and if Lilo could come, too... that would make me happier than a pig in a poke ! Gotta have equal time fer the men folk, ya know!

Reserve 2 hammocks on the beach fer me and the little woman, so's we can sleep while the kids take over the pool 'n beach. They're just gonna LOVE that volcano slide. Jr was talkin' 'bout how he's gonna go down it back'ards and head 1st, so ya'll better get yerself some more lifeguards, just in case! I'd hate to hafta sue ya!

We'd also like to reserve one a them PSs at The O'hana. I know this's last minute and a busy time, but with what we are spendin', I know ya'll can make it happen. Pixie Dust...right--heh heh!?

We only need one room, but a couple extry cots would be good... that way cousin Sue and cousin Millie won't hafta sleep in the camper in the car lot with the dawgs.

How 'bout fishin in that ther lake... is it good eatin'? Also, we was thinkin' of bringin' our shotguns. Heard there was purty nice critters over ther at that Animal Kingdom. Do they sell the animal heads? I'd luv ta take home the head of a zebra ta go over the fireplace. Put it rite next ta the deer antlers..heh heh!

And, just for one night, can't Stitch fly from the castle 'steada Tinkerbell. I'm shure that little fairy must need a day off ever' once in a while!

I know this is last minute, but I was figurin' you'd have nothin' better ta do, so I mite as well keep ya hoppin'... that's what Disney pays ya the big bucks for, ain't it? Sure do 'preciate the hospitality.

Billy Bob
