Draft Beers, Disney Wonder

I'm thinking of buying the refillable beer mugs as gifts. But, I don't drink beer. So, is it a good variety on draft? Does anyone have a current listing? Thank you!

We just got off the Wonder this week. It was an Alaska sailing and the beers were skewed that direction, which I don't think is normally the case. Also not all the bars have the same selection, so if there is a favorite you may have to hunt for it. On our trip I saw - Alaskan Amber, Alaskan Summer and Stella at almost every bar. At various places I also saw Guinness, Angry Oarchard, Bud Light, Heineken and a Pirate IPA (I think IPA). I'm sure there are ones that I'm missing.

The Wonder has a pretty good beer selection, in draft and bottle. The best place for mug refills is the pub (Crown and Finn). If you plan to hang there often, then a mug is a great investment. Azure is next to the pub and where they have most of the adult nightlife shows. Their draft selection is limited, but if you ask your server they can go to the pub and get you a beer. So, it is best to scout out the pub first to know what they have on tap. They have some taps (I think) in the Promenade Lounge, but I'm not sure I ever got a beer there. Worth checking out. Servers there might also go to the pub to get a selection, but probably depends on how busy they are. All of those are on deck 3 so it isn't far to walk yourself. The pool deck has some selections, but have no clue what. However, I doubt they will travel down to get you something because it is quite a trip.

There are a few threads on here about price comparisons and tipping point for the mug. Generally you get 5 oz free per beer with the current 21oz mug, so depending on the beer price (usually $6-10) it could be a good deal even if you don't want the mug.

Anyone know if they do re-fillable wine glasses for house wine? THAT would be cool.

No wine glasses.

We got the mugs and enjoyed it. If the people like beer that you are considering to give as gifts, they will like it. They will find something that they like on tap.

We liked how you could get the coin back and exchange for a clean mug so you didn’t have to carry an empty mug around

Love the beer mug. Added bonus is you can take it with you on your next cruise too. The beer selection had enough variety for me with a couple of smaller craft beers plus more popular choices. You can get your mug filled at any bar except sully's sips. They will also fill your mug in the MDR. When pool-side, they give you a plastic mug. Otherwise it's glass. You can swap out the mug for a chit (small thin card) to carry with you instead of having to carry the mug around. You get a freshly cleaned mug each refill.

They don't.

BUT it seems like at least on the Magic and Wonder they have the Sommelier Bin where it's like $10 and you get whatever is open they need to use up (you can select Red, White or Sparkling). IF it's one that's less than $10 then you're only charged what it would be - but you could get lucky and end up with something that's worth much more than $10 (on the DCL price-scale anyway).

So do we ask our servers? Do you sign up when you board? I would assume this is better than buying one of the wine packages.

According to Scott on the DCL Blog, it is on the menu. So you would order it like anything else.

This is by the glass. The wine package is by the bottle. If you are not going to drink the amount of bottles in the package you order AND you don't care what wine you drink it could be a better deal.
