Dr. Dre headphones

My 16 yo wants a pair of the Dr. Dre headphones for Christmas. At $179.99 a pair, I was hoping to find a discount or a sale somewhere. Anyone know of any?

Staples has them for $179.99 with a $20 staples rebate card. I have been pondering getting these myself. They are awesome!!! This is the cheapest I have seen them. On black friday target had them with a $50 target card. But didn't have one near me!

That was an awesome deal, but target is almost an hour from me so it didn't work out. Did you end up ordering them? I wonder if they will drop in price or stay pretty much the same.

my son really wanted these and was going to put on his christmas list but then I saw the black friday ad for target so he went at midnight and got them. He loves them!!!!

I tested them at staples and the sound quality is unbelievable. I have the apple earbuds and those things always fall out of my ears. Their way to distracting for me.
I take it these headphones work with the iphone?? I am thinking of downloading my music onto the iphone instead of getting another ipod

I'm assuming they do. That's what he's planning on using them on! They better lol

I wish that I had waited to buy my DD's because I paid 199.00 for them at Best Buy. She loves them though so I guess it's worth it. To answer your question, the best deal I found on them was at Target in the black Friday add.

My DD uses them with her phone & her iTouch.

Just FYI there are 3 different 'Beats' there are the solos, solo hd and the studio. I was able to get the solo hd for $179 with a $40 gift card for DD on black friday.

You may want to check your local best buy as the deal wasn't listed in the sale flyer. just the more expensive $299 studio head phones with $50 gift card.

The solos and solo hd are made to use with a smart phone. the studios can be used with a smart phone but do not have a mic or similar feature.

but i think $179 may be the best we are going to do at this moment.

He was using them with his iphone. The sound was incredible. He had it hooked up and the headphones were laying on the counter and the sound was terrific.

I bought them at Radio Shack on Black Friday for $143.99 with a $10 gift card, so the net price was $133. It wasn't quite as good as Target's final price, but I would have had to spend more at Target initially. I needed 2 pairs, so got 2 $10 Radio Shack GCs which they let me use immediately on my next purchase. DS16 wanted a portable hard drive and Radio Shack had a 500g on sale for $50. I used my 2 GCs and got it for $30, which is a great deal. I was happy with everything. I did buy the warranty which I don't usually do, but felt the boys might be rough on these.

The Monster Cable outlet has reburbished solos for $129.95 and studios for $199.95. My son bought studios from them over the summer, and they're perfect. You'd never know they're reburbished.

My son paid $99 at Target on BF and I thought he was crazy for buying them. He told me they were half off. I couldn't believe those little headphones would retail for $200.

They do sound nice, though.

Last year we bought our DS 12, a pair of the Dr. Dre Beats by Monster refurbished headphones from the Monster outlet website for $199 vs paying $399 retail. These are better than the Solo headphones that have been on sale over the past couple of weeks. They looked brand new when they arrived and he's had no problems with them almost a year later.

If you really want to buy the Solos, they are $129.99 -- a much better deal than retail and will more than likely be brand new.

Make sure you buy from an authorized Monster dealer online. There are TONS of fakes out there. If the deal sounds too good to be true, it is!
