So, I am something of a lurker on this board, but I am here now and I need to see a Dr. My knee pain that I saw my Dr. At home about has gotten much worse. I feel like the ER and urgent care are not great options. What would you do if you were in my shoes? Walking is pretty painful at this point, and I need to do something proactive, so I can somehow save my vacation.
Any suggestions?

I would recommend the ER at Celebration Hospital. but if you do not want to do that, I would call your own physician at home and discuss what's happening. Your own doctor already knows your history, any tests you've had and what may be happening now.
If there is some medication he/she can prescribe and call in to a local pharmacy, you'd be able to pick that up in the area. (The front desk would be able to identify a pharmacy close by- I think some even deliver)

I am doubtful that you would be able to find a local knee specialist that could take you emergently and do anything that wouldn't use up all your vacation time.

You can also consider renting an ECV for the parks and resting your knee while still enjoying the parks.

Are you staying at a Disney resort? If so, call the front desk and explain your concern. They can give you some other options.

Also, if you are able to, consider renting a scooter, taking some over the counter medication, and going to your own doctor once you are home.

I would suggest going over to the disABILITIES Forum. One of the first threads is the disABILITIES FAQs. On Post #2 we have a lot of information for people with mobility and/or stamina situations, including fairly detailed information about both on- and off-site rentals of ECVs and wheelchairs. To get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs from here just click on the link in my signature.
