We have a Teen DS who would love to visit Disney Quest on our next magical vacation. He has been doing his own research on DQ.

We have a 2005 Birnbaum guide, but will there be any games added to DQ in 2006 ?

Which section should be done first or is the best to spend more time at ?

Which day of the week is busiest ?

Which day of the week is least busy ? Monday's when everyone is at MK ?

What time of day is the least crowded ?
DQ opens at 11:30 AM and closes around 11 PM (late enough for our crew)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
From this web-site it says: "The single best tip is to go early.
Head to the Explore Zone first before the lines form.
The Score Zone and Buzz's Astro Blaster also are popular.
After that, take your time and explore all the levels of this wonderful playground. You will find something for everyone, regardless of how old you are. "

Is the above true - or do you have your own experieces ?

Again, which day of the week is best ?

And it says to go early .... early to me is 8 AM, not 11:30 AM. So it means arrive at 11:15 AM when the doors are about to open and stay till around 3pm
and then head to a Park or Pool ?

Thanks !

We went twice last two weeks ago. We always go when DQ opens, usually 10:30 or 11 or 11:30 AM. Check the TV for opening times. And if the weather is really nice (and it has been raining a lot), that's a great time to go since most people will go to the parks. DQ gets busier as the day goes on with the biggest crowd in the evening.

Our first attraction is always Pirates of the Caribbean. The line gets long, so we try to do it at least twice before moving on. I like Mighty Ducks Pinball. MY son and husband like the Make Your Own Roller Coaster and the Buzz Lightyear attraction. My son especially likes the arcade area where you earn tickets to exchange for prizes (but the prizes really aren't that great).

At DQ, are there any games that require extra money or tokens to play? Or are all the games included in the price of admission? Also, are there any "normal" arcade games there that I would be able to fins at my local arcade, like Time Crisis 2 or Dance Dance Revolution? I have been thinking about going to DQ, but I do not want to shell out the cash to go in, if I have to pay more to enjoy everything.

Thanks,
Jobie

We have annual passes to DQ. The crowd pattern there is really hard to predict. Typically weekdays are less crowded than Fri or Sat night. Sometimes there are church groups, sport teams, high school groups, etc. who are there. When that happens the crowds can get a bit thick. Generally speaking, without any of this type of tour group, the weekdays are pretty empty. Rain is another crowd factor. If it rains, hords of people go to DQ.

My suggestion for touring DQ is to check the tip board when you arrive. If you see that POTC, Jungle Cruise and Aladdin are 20 minutes or less, go there. By mid-afternoon these become popular. Most people start on the 3rd floor where the elevator lets you off. I'd suggest starting at the 1st floor and working your way up. The lines for food are least crowded at opening and at 5pm. We think that the Quest Burger with cheese is the best hamburger on property.

Jobie- they do have a small section w/some games where you pay for and can win prizes- for example they have a skee ball- BUT in another section there's free skee ball. So like 95% of the games are free and you could spend all day there without paying a penny.

They have TONS of regular arcade games besides the virtual reality ones. I know there's a DDR. They also do get new ones. We went in May and then again in December and they had some new games that my bf said were just out- like Outrun? I think.

DQ is awesome and I usually hate noisy video game arcades. Its a thousand times better than a Jillian's or Dave & Buster's type place.

But the best thing about DQ is the elevator ride....That is so cool.

I agree the elevator is awesome but lets not give it away.. I noticed that it is best to go late afternoon and leave around 8 or 9 thats when the crowds come..
