DQ and Water Parks

I have been to Disney 5 times and have never done Disney Quest or any of the water parks. This year we have PLUS passes and want to do them all.

Can anyone share tips/secrets about each place - DQ, TL, and BB? We'll be going in Aug. and have 2 DD's (ages 13 & 9). We're from WI where we have the unofficial water park capital of the world (WI Dells), so we LOVE water parks and I know it will be HOT in Aug.

Specifically I'm wondering what time they typically open in the summer, how long you spend at each, what are the must-do's and best tips. Thanks!

i know theres a hidden mickey in the rocks at BB which you can only see on the ski lift
also i think it will be shorter (and healthier) to walk up the stairs in BB because the line for the ski lift takes ages (well not ages but like 10-20 mins)

For all three I suggest you get there when they open. Water parks fill up fast and DQ gets worse as the day goes on, and the evening can be packed. We usually stay all day at waterparks and leave DQ by dinner time.

DQ MUST DO - Pirates (gets busy fast) and cyber roller coaster. You'll have time to do everything there but those two are awesome.

TL MUST DO - Shark Reef, go early in day before crowded and sediment is stirred up, Wave pool, and of course all the slides including a brand new one.

BB MUST DO - Family Raft ride is great and of course all the slides.

Get the kids' meal at the water parks that is a grilled cheese pretzel. It is awesome and you can't beat the price. Also, take waterproof cameras for lots of fun pictures including the fish in shark reef.

Water Parks - try to get there before they open and grab some chairs or table by trees, near trees or under trees if possible or grab a table under the canopy.

Water Parks - I know during the summer months water shoes are a must for walking - concret/paths very hot.
