DPS-Disney Photo/Video-Good Experiences?

Hello Everyone! Happy Holidays!

I know this topic has probably been reviewed multiple times on the board. However, with Disney's new imposed rules regarding outside vendors, I'm finding it difficult to truly make our VR "disney-like." Does that make sense? I want to be in a theme park. I know about the bad side of DPS. Does this apply to video as well? I would like to hear from those who have used DPS or the video dept. for their special event and share any POSITIVE stories/experiences. I look forward to your feedback. Being in a theme park is the whole purpose of doing any event at Disney. Thanks!

We cannot say enough good things about our experiences with Disney photo and video. My daughter's pictures are beautiful and so is the video. Bruno White Entertainment is the one Disney uses for the video. My daughter upgraded her package to include the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding and reception. She received 6 copies of the DVD as well so each parents and even the siblings could have a copy. There have been so many negative comments about Disney photo but honestly our photographer was super!!!!! We highly recommend Mike Strickland. He has been with Disney for several years and has alot of experience. After all pictures and the video is all the memories you have left when it is all over. So, I can understand how everyone needs positive feedback. Hope this helps.

Although our wedding was more than three years ago, we used Disney for our photography and I was very pleased! We loved the photos Ty (Boyce) took (and I've read positive reviews about him from other brides here as well).

We only had an Intimate wedding (now called Escape) and the only "upgrade" we had was pre-purchasing all our proofs.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the video as we didn't use that service.

i loved our photos and video from Disney. people see our video and think it is wonderful...if that says anything.
I think that over the years disney has increased their level of experience and expertise in these areas and the recent images i have sene are just very beautiful and artstic looking.

I loved working with them.

I used Disney for both. I was very, very pleased with our wedding shots.

However, I had several problems with the rest.
PM me if you want all the details. I don't really want to post it all. I will say though, Bruno White has worked very hard to fix the errors that were very apparent in our video.

We had Disney for our photography. I cannot say enough good things about them. Our photo's where outstanding. We wanted more 'fun / photojournalistic' photo's like the ones that Randy does and they where far better than i could ever have hoped for.

We used DPS too for pictures only. We love our pictures. We had Paul - who's no longer there - but he made our day great. With our Escape wedding I asked for 3 different picture locations besides the WP and he was great making sure we got all the shots I wanted - even if we were a little rushed.

We used DPS also and had no problems and loved our pictures (We had an Escape wedding at SBP)! We upgraded to the package where you get the 40 5x7's in the album and also added in an Epcot photoshoot. We had Joe Duncan and he was great! He did our photoshoot and our wedding. I cannot say enough great things about DPS and would use them again in a heartbeat. Hope this helps!
