The bottom line is that it is a very good still camera but does not have the video capabilities of some others. Its not a camera that targets that audience. Its a very good review. IMO, if they never included video on a DSLR, I wouldn't miss it. If I want video, I will buy a video camera! I'm not a videographer (and some say I'm not much of a photographer either) !!

I'm with you. If I was shooting a lot of video, I would buy a video camera. In the past year, I've probably shot 10 minutes of video on my cameras. I actually use my phone more for video than my camera.

That K5IIs sure does look fantastic. Its supposed to have the best picture quality in APS-C. In daily shooting(kids, dogs), how does the continuous focus handle on the K5. Thats the only reason I would purchase a DSLR again. Yesterday I handled a D600 and thought it was gigantic. Boy am I use to mirrorless cameras.

I can only compare the K5 to the K10D with the continuous focus and it is light years ahead of it. When I'm shooting an event, I always carry two cameras. I don't even attempt pan shots anymore with the K10 and just use the K5. I reserve the K10 for high shutter speed shots and non-motion shots (AKA posed shots). Since I'm not a fashion photographer, if I was to upgrade, I would probably go with the IIs. I'm waiting to hear more about the moire issue that the AA filter eliminates but slight degrades sharpness. I'm still considering trying to find a used low shutter count K5. I absolutely love my K5.
