DPP Kids Question

Can I purchase the adult DPP for my DD9?

The kids menu is lacking at best and getting lame desserts while watching the rest of eat from the adult dessert menu seems like torture. Would I be better off to just pay OOP for her desserts if she wants something else?

I believe the desserts were around $5.

I would just pay out of pocket if it is just for desserts. Also, if you are doing some buffets then you wouldn't need to pay for the desserts. Possibly she might be into sharing a bit of the other adults desserts and that also would save you paying more for another dessert.

I think the only way your could do that would be to lie about the age ans say that your 9 ear-old is 10 but then you would have to also purchase an adult ticket for that child....Not really a good option so I wouldn't recommend doing that.

I would just pay for any dessert that she may want. We have used the dining plan on our last three trips and one thing that I have learned is that you will get more food than you should ever be able to eat. The serving sizes are very generous at Disney so you may even be able to share some of the adult entrees with her. My kids have never had a problem getting enough to eat especially dessert because we all share because that is the only way that all the food can get eaten ( or close to eaten).

Yup, that's the rub, you end up having to buy adult park tickets as well...brutal. I anticipate my kids sharing the adult/kids' options to make things fair, and wouldn't mind the occasionall OOP better dessert either.
